Friedman: "Teams have called the #Canucks on JT Miller and asked, "if you're willing to trade him, what would it take?"

So far a few good results related to the Canucks 1st round picks... 3 or 4 games so far.

If both Arizona and SJ win, that would be huge.

Are you guys saying a player with 34 goals 58 pts is not doing his part?

Just checking. He has three goals in seven games as a NYI.

As a Flames fan, I would still love to see Bedard go to the Canucks, he would bring some excitement back to this storied franchise.
Really Oilers won the McDavid spin
Toronto won the Mathew’s spin
It’s only fair that Gary and his boys allow the
Canucks to win the Bedard spin.

Canuck are going to drop 2 spots instead.

Lot of talk today about weaponizing cap space. First of all I hate that term

It is funny listening to the talking heads of the media saying it would be a win if Canucks can get two draft pick like a fourth for using their cap room.

Then reality hits when Minivan points out Canucks best draft pick in the fourth round has been Jack Rathbone since 2000

Regretfully this is accurate. With VAN if you can maintain your draft position that would be considered a huge win.

So you're due for one! No better time than now.

Also dont forget that 4th round pick for retention is in 3 years...

Just great. So we would have to wait three years to be disappointed then.

Best thing for both Bedard and the league is to have Vancouver get the 1st overall pick.
Then Alvin takes a Swede.

But think of how weaponized your cap space would have been though! You can think back on happy you felt with weaponizing your cap space in 2023 when making that pick. Don't you want your team to weaponize all assets?

My rule of thumb is if we are not drafting top 10 then I really don't follow it. We have had too many Brendan Gaunce, Nicklas Jensen, and Jordan Schroeder type players.

Damn even Jake Virtanen and Ollie Juolevi top 10 picks make a fan wanna puke.

I think with Jake there were probably a couple of flags on his smarts and drive.

The turning point about Jake (for me) was he was drafted as a gritty forward and when he got here said I don't want to play that style. I want to be a scorer.

This has way more of an effect if you actually take the time to spell his name right.
Tkachuk is out of the playoffs so far, I think him and Johnny are going to Cancun early April.
