I turned off the third period, so I didn't see but the SN post-game show said two guys chased him and he skated to the bench. I cannot prove or deny it.
- VANTEL

Either way there should have been a consequence at some point in the game.

At not point did I say he shouldn't play.

One idiot made up his own narrative and didn't really listen to what I actually said. (not Ruby either)

Someone's sensitive

You said playing him would derail his career (though after you said you were being "a bit" sarcastic), but then questioned the point of even playing him, threw out some very general numbers about how a one game sample size would play into his career, then what his numbers were compared to the league after one game (which I can only assume improved mightily after game two).

I've never said you said he shouldn't play. Just that you questioning the one legit person on the Canucks staff (Clark) is pretty dumb. You know, pointing out how you think in straight lines, absolutes with Silovs and I'm about possibilities/variables

Need to fire Boeser out of a canon to get room for a proper second line player.
- VANTEL

I like and don't like Boeser. I think he is someone who needs a smarter center. He's not a perfect player but he does not fit with many on this team.

Boeser’s a one-dimensional sniper. Most times, the 2nd line wing is the only place for players like that. There’s tons of those players in the league and they have a purpose. Just got to surround them with players who can cover for their deficiencies (usually in the form of a solid defensive pairing).

Role is up for grabs. Unless Van winning a lotto spot or tanks harder, Outside top 3, I'm not sure if any would be playing games next season.
- manvanfan

I have it on good authority (Carol’s Hockey Gods) the Canucks will finally win the lotto draft.

Honestly no clue to roster for next season. When the dust settles (on all the moves to be made TDL, FA’s draft etc.) this team should look different to start next season.

Tochett was pretty candid. He told the media if he is here on the team he deserves to play.

Like I said, you can't allow teams to take liberties with your star players. It's been like that in VAN for over a decade. Spin that anyway you like.

No spin. Just posted a stat.

Petey looked great as did Beauvillier. Maybe Beauvillier is for real like some have claimed...
- LordHumungous

He’s always been streaky but then again, so was Bo.

His game has changed. He is no longer a sniper at least not this year. He is clipping along at a .775 PPG rate and he is reliable defensively but is about 2.5 mil overpaid.

All of them trying not to get hurt before TDL.
- manvanfan

And I would too if it means getting out of dodge to get a chance at winning a cup.

The quicker they get rid of BB the better, regretfully I don't see it happening until the summer, if at all.

You are showing it.

Told you the other day, whatever you think I feel, I've already thought it about you.

Yeah, I was a bit sarcastic and as a Canuck fan you took it about as far as you could go. Congrats.

I did give out some potentials career projections if certain things happened. If you are taking that as I know exactly what's going to happen with his career. You are sorely mistaken again.

I'm pretty sure that Clark doesn't chose the goalies night in and out does he? As it was said that Clark wanted him to play games last season as well and he didn't.

Many thought the same last season. Including Rutherford. Maybe with a cap increase over 1M, will give some room to make moves for teams.

He seems like he's earned the chance... and lets be real it's not a high bar to beat Delia and Martin right now.

Now would be a great time to flip Beauvillier.

One more year at a Cap Hit: $4,150,000.

He isn't exactly wrong. He now has the highest save percentage on the team at .891

I think it is a great move. They get to see him at the NHL level for evaluation and gives them more clarity on how close they are with what to do with Demko, one way or the other.

He is not quite there yet but not far off either. I would play him a few more games.

There’s a lot of guys on the Canucks who are paid $2.5m too much. can’t blame the players for that stupidity though. I swear that Canuck GM chair is cursed.

Sad but true.

That is what is needed though to get high draft picks. You need to suffer first to get them.

Gives them the chance, but also Silovs the chance to get some real NHL action. It's a big jump from the AHL, so being able to train in the summer with that experience should be a huge boost for him. A pretty straightforward and understandable reason to play him, one would think
