So the 3 years of development seems about right.

I've looked through the rankings a bit since and I've seen him as low as 42. I highly doubt he makes it out of the first round.

I do think we could trade down though and pick up another top 60 pick. Drafting 3 Dmen with those picks could go a long ways to having a homegrown D in 5 years.

He is intriguing but he won’t make sense for us. We should have a pick in the top 10 and our 2nd pick will be in the late 30s. He is rising so could go anywhere from 16-25

I think it could turn out even better next year. The Islanders missed the playoffs last year. If they miss them this year.. that's a regressing team. Unless they start selling everything off to make the playoffs... next years pick is not protected at all.
