I just keep adding a set amount to what I think a player will get. I'm up to 800k per year more than I think.

It's my way of keeping up. My mind doesn't see the player worth it though. Like Maatta or Walman. How they are 3M a year defenders. You are either a 3M everyday bottom pairing defender or a 900k 6/7 guy

You give him a long term deal, most likely not going to trade him. He's got two cups. Chasing another one doesn't seem high on his priority list. Have him mentor the kids in Abbotsford for years after he's done in the NHL.

Lots of smoke around the #Canucks today. While there's a lot of JT Miller speculation, I'm told the Canucks & Penguins have had serious discussions about Brock Boeser. Work to be done, and other teams in play, but Boeser chatter picking up and PIT has genuine interest.

2 quick follow ups:
1) I'm not saying PIT doesn't have interest in Miller, I'm strictly reporting Boeser talks
2) If Boeser is traded, salary will be retained by VAN
