Good call. For me, we still need more young d, but i dont mind a 25 year old coming in that is established

Doesn't seem like a loss to me. Bo wasn't going to resign so a Ufa for a young top 4rhd, young top 6 winger, a B prospect(who's now our top prospect) and a 4th.

Fair value I'd say.

Why not do this in the summer is my question, there was no need to this now IMO.

A year in the ahl did him some good, it’s helped a lot of young guys gain confidence and fine tune thier game, see if he can keep it going he has skill.

I'm going to wait to see where that pick ends up before I'm satisfied with todays trade. If it ends up being top 15, I won't be too happy. If it ends up unprotected for next season, again, not too happy. If the Islanders make the playoffs then it's not too bad or if the pick ends up being a late 1st rounder next season... then I'll be relieved they traded it...

My guess is the depleted D expedited this trade. Adding to that gambling NYI 1st is higher & we win more & the 2nd pick also lowers.

In the case of Bo it had to be now, i take Hronel to be theyve been trying since they got here to get a rhd and this was their chance so they took it. Clearly they aremt done, cause they are cap screwed for nect yesr

Ya its a bit of gamble in this sense, i dont hate the gamble given we finally got a top 4 rhd but i agree how it plays out has an impact. Watch the isles and canucks go on a heater.

I dont hate it given Hronek coems with control going forward. Now just need to jetty Myers, OEL and Boeser for whatever we can get and were on a track i can understand. I agree with nighty, if you can get a UFA D after those moves, were making progress. Gavrikov!

He's a middle paring... even if they force him into a top pairing role here.

He's the new Bear, a checking Bear... Because he's Czech. I tried a cocaine bear reference but it didn't work so I gave up on it.

I think you’re right. You look at Abbotsford and they’re in the thick of a playoff race, meanwhile we’ve got 3 or 4 of their D called up. With Schenn and Stillman having to go, we probably had to do something and who knows… maybe there’s something on the table for Myers or someone else.

Rolling the dice usually backfires on this team to cause an uproar with negativity lol the Canuck way.
