Does it make sense for the Sabres to get into this arms race? I think it's a better idea to make a move like Chychrun (if it made sense) for a guy with term moving forward.

Goalie A is 15-8 with a winning percentage of 65%
Goalie B is 9-7 with a winning percentage of 56%

What goalie has higher odds of wining?

Math isn't hard here. You may not like it but statistically speaking goalie A has a better chance of wining.

This isn't BIZARRO world.

- sabresfan69

Using that and only that statistic is such an odd hill to die on.

Goalie A has a .893 save percentage and a 3.57 GAA average

Goalie B has a .920 save percentage and a 2.70 GAA

Which goalie gives your team a better chance at winning?

A lot of this arms race is players with term. The Sabres aren't ready for that, they're going to keep their picks and next year will be the time they make their big moves

The first one ain’t no softee.

The second one eh maybe, but a turnover in the slot being screened by your own guy isn’t going to be easy no matter who is in net. Woulda liked a save there but it’s not a softee.

I think so?

Panthers giving it to the Lightning. Detroit is losing. Sabres need 2 points tonight.

From earlier today:

>>> Lots of smoke around the #Canucks today. While there's a lot of JT Miller speculation, I'm told the Canucks & Penguins have had serious discussions about Brock Boeser. Work to be done, and other teams in play, but Boeser chatter picking up and PIT has genuine interest.

2 quick follow ups:
1) I'm not saying PIT doesn't have interest in Miller, I'm strictly reporting Boeser talks
2) If Boeser is traded, salary will be retained by VAN

I'm not blaming Anderson on either one. Power needs to not be dumb and put the puck right in the slot.

Agreed.

Bar down and a cannon with no windup.

Not many if any goalies are stopping that one.

The same people would be saying UPL has no defensive help tonight if he’s in net.

I feel like this is the random game that a bad goalie has a good game against the Sabres.

Yep. It kind of bounced off a Jacket, but the goal is for it not to be so soft it bounces off a Jacket right to a guy in the slot.

Could UPL be a piece included in a bigger trade with Arizona for Vejmelka and Chychrun? Would make sense for them to value UPL and clears the way for Levi to be the upcoming goalie of future with Anderson / Veljmelka in net for playoff race.
