Only reason is so he is an option to call up even just as a backup if something were to happen(trade/injury). Have to be on a NHL contract before trade deadline day.

Seems like Cozens and Tage were smart enough to realize that squeezing every last drop gets you worse linemates. I think Rasmus is a smart cookie too.

Rasmus did take longer to sign though, and is clearly a top 2/3 player at his position in the league.

Has anyone actually thought of what pieces they might want back for Chychrun. If they want a young plug and play D man or a D prospect they can sign. Maybe we don't have the exact pieces. There's a few trades that went down that Buffalo didn't have the right stuff or not willing to give up that stuff even if they wanted to go ahead with a trade.
