He was outplayed by every other D while there..... KA could have used Bloom + for a better D... Or gotten him for a 4th rounder

One thing people arent saying is why make this deal on Monday when you have till Friday? Couldnt wait a couple days to see if something was better out thre?

Can we define adequately, everyone says that but I’ve seen nothing to back that up.

Florida moved him for Peanuts very quickly.

Chicago has him for a year and then moved him.

Vancouver overpaid for him when he was awful in Chicago and within a year move him for what people here are calling a “not very good prospect”

For as much as everyone says well we moved bloom for some reason.

3 teams have now moved Stillman shortly after acquiring him.

Maybe KA remembers being on the other end of the jay mckee shin pad fiasco? Guy using his shin pads from squirts. That was a Stanley cup type team in buffalo.

Adding a vet d to the organization to boost either buffalo or Rochester makes sense to me.

It's the same thing with Ben Bishop. They made that move well before Free Agency, which means this was calculated, for better or for worse.

To me, on one hand, all "depth" defensemen are interchangeable. They're all incredibly flawed, otherwise they would easily crack an NHL roster. However, Adams identified this particular one, and gave up seemingly higher than normal value for it. It's not the end of the world, but it's also a head scratcher.
