I Dont see how they could win a series with Boston. My hope was to possibly get the devils in the first round. I Dont think the islanders are better but maybe with the Devils inexperience would help in a series against them.

They got some help! You're right, they now control their own destiny. I'm still most worried about Florida. If Bobrowsky gets hot, they could make things dicey for the Islanders.

When healthy I’m ok with the islanders offense. I know it’s not the most prolific but it’s the defense I’m disappointed with. Expected more from pelech pulock mayfield and Dobson. Romanov I feel has been a disappointment and really only aho seems to be playing better than I expected.

I agree with the defense. Both Pulock and Pelech have been big time disappointments this season more so Pulock imo. Huge drop off in his game. Mayfield I’m hoping they don’t resign at this point. Aho has been a bit of a pleasant surprise hopefully he can continue to improve his game. The offense is where we disagree. We’re good down the middle but we need help on the wings in a big way imo.

At this point, I just hope they make the playoffs. They need to start this West Coast swing with a victory over the Kings who are virtually a lock to make the playoffs, and so are really only playing for playoff position. The Isles need to play with some desperation tonight.

Coming home from this three game trip with less than 4 out of 6 points would be a big-time failure. Starting it off with a win against LA tonight would put them in good position to do at least that, as they really have no excuse to lose to ANA or SJS.

I'm not sure if the defense has struggled because they've been asked to do more on offense? Defense has not been good, and the team does have issues at wing. Horvat has missed Barzal as expected.

Yep absolutely with the other teams losing it keeps us level but if they can somehow manage to win all three of these games they have a small chance of catching the Pens. Then they have the honor of facing the Canes who we seem to play great in the playoffs.

Seriously wonder if we’re better off facing the bruins and hope for a real upset.
