Yes, but it's worth it if they win.

That was before Lou traded for Horvat in the midst of a winning streak. Once he decided to go for it, there was no more losing for Bedard. Have you been asleep for the past month?

Isles do not control their own destiny, but according to this site, they have the best chance of making the playoffs compared to the Pens and the Cats.

I was wondering if pllaying P.O. bound teams near the end of the season maybe an advantage vs disadvantage. Only because those teams may decide to give some of their players a rest before the POs start.

Depends on what team...How far ahead in the standings they are...If they slide will it affect who they face in the first round...I would think that this might a factor the last week or the last few games...I think it is to early for a team with the exception of the Bruins to consider resting players.

2 out of 3 from the west was good...Next 5 are not going to be easy...

Leafs, Blue Jackets, Buffalo, Devils and Caps. Need to go 4-1...I think that would help solidify their playoff push.

Interesting point. The bubble teams like the Isles have the most incentive to play with desperation. The teams that are virtually a lock to make the playoffs likely won't have that sense of urgency. If they have a player who is a little banged up, maybe give him a night off. Why risk further injury against a hard-hitting team like the Isles? Sure, seeding counts for something........but really not that much. When was the last time the President's Trophy winner also won the Cup?
