That was my point without saying it. Like you said, dumpster diving.

If they have horrible tending the round will be a short one the cougars can score they are similar to the Canucks.
- Bettmanhatesus

I don't think the Cougars will have much trouble. They really picked it up in the 2nd half. Nice to see Wheatcroft get a contract. Age aside, he is one of the better players I've seen out here against the Royals.

I see a lot of people hoping for RHD but I think Canucks like Bear (I am not a big fan), but I see it as Myers (Maybe) Hronek Bear. I think they would trust Juulsen more than a NCAA free agent.

Again my opinion is I don't think they are looking for projects and they want contracts that are ready now.

I am more concerned about the Left side because after Hughes I think that is the weaker side.

- VANTEL

I was listening to Shane Malloy the other day on some show and he was saying how Rutherford has always liked the projects because they are free tickets. Likes to bring in many to develop.

I am not slapping NCAA overagers into NHL line ups for next season. Most of the guys I look at will probably be another year or two more seasoning in the AHL at least.

Van's left side prospects are stronger than the right that's for sure. Truscott and D-Petey.

I don't know if I will miss John Garret or not. I am definitely use to hearing from him and he is a bit of a homer for sure. I hope they do not bring in a radio or TV personality, I do hope it is a former player.

Sometimes change is good.

I didn’t particularly enjoy Garret but it could

I hope it is Jannek Hansen. Every play will sound exciting.

It's been a mixed bag of building, we've seen trades for prospects and Beau, picks moved for Hronek, reclamation prospects, and depth signings, they've done it all in the past month or so.

Unlike most, I think they will keep their pick and draft BP C or D - I hope they finish around 10th - trade down with a team like Nashville or Buffalo (mid to late teens) and grab a second - draft 2 defenders.

- Brooks_Light

I Think Canucks will draft 13 th, but I see them doing exactly what Uncle Lou did last year and trading for another D.

I think with the timing of contracts for Petey Kuz Demko the management are not interested in drafting a Fabbro and waiting 4 years.

Just my way of looking at it. I think they want to win a round next year and you won't do it with Myers OEL and waiting for prospects to develop. I think they will try to fix everything now.

Hirsch couldnt hold his job doing live color for 360. Most people agreed he was terrible. He really messed up the flow of the play by play over and over and showed no improvement. His career doing live Canucks games is over. No way he gets the job.

Dumpster diving in NCAA? You never know when the next Troy Stecher will pop up.

Must be nice for Stecher to be digging pucks out of the net behind Marky again.

I get that. I still think Canucks will do it differently. I think they will fill Abby with more Dries Wolanen type players that can be plugged in at any time. I think they will try to develop one or two players like McDon Woo Hog, I don't see Rathbone as a Canuck.

They have also have now Raty and Bloom. I think that is enough for them to handle for now.

Canucks three best D prospects are:

Woo (roundd 2)
Petey (round 3)
Truscott (round 5)

I think Petey and Woo have a real shot and both not first round picks and I think the management see that. Another reason I think they trade the first instead of drafting 12 th.

Of the eighteen (18) skaters (not counting two goaltenders) that teams may dress for a game, at least thirteen (13) must be qualified as “development players.” Of those 13, twelve (12) must have played in 260 or fewer professional games (including AHL, NHL and European elite leagues), and one must have played in 320 or fewer professional games. All calculations for development status are based on regular-season totals as of the start of the season.

There will be a few but can't overload Abby as per the rules.

Thank god - Fabbro is dogsh&t - I never understood the hype for that loser.

I think after Myers is paid his bonus - he'd be the easiest to move and fit for a team like Anaheim or Arizona, who need help hitting the cap floor. OEL is going nowhere.

Finally, I think the fans base would riot 2.0 if PA/JR traded any more picks away, especially a fairly high 1st.

Juulsen Briesbois Hog Raty Bloom McDonaugh Woo Rathbone Klimovich (9 right there without going into players like Bains Hirano Karlsson Foscht Kudryavtsev. They are fine with the requirements.

I think once Myers is paid bonuses he will be easier to move but unless it is a team like Arizona not many teams will be willing to take the six-mil cap hit without adding or retaining cap. Canucks might look at it as he is paid for why not use him?

I agree with what you said earlier about improve by trades but I would do OEL out Graves in add one more Dman by trade and I would be okay with everything.

I honestly don’t think he is tradeable without major retention/ picks. I realize his salary is low but he provides value of a player with a low salary lol. Such a strange opinion held by some fans and most media

They did not do much here and not doing much there.

Even if you like the players it was obvious back then that the team needed an overhaul. JIm Benning, God (or Easter Bunny) rest his soul, tried but was not great at trades.
