Here is a name maybe for third line center. Sean Monahan. If you could get him around 1.5 I think he would be a great reclamation project. If he does have a bad year he can be sent down with minimal cap hit. If he finds his game you have a hell of a deal on your roster.

I don't see teams paying him more than 2 mil after the struggles.

I think the amount of games is fine. I agree with Booner that the amount of time wasted on players that have no chance of making the team is wasteful. Give them one game then adios.

I have a feeling this camp will be run different. I never seen a Tocchet camp but even if he tries to do it like the last 2 coaches, JR won't have any of it. He was very critical of a wasted camp.

If exhibition sched remains the same focus more on the real roster. Have the others back home playing scrimmage games. Short rosters & teach them before sent back. Have enough coaches to split squad it up just not for ex games only.

Colliton could be the head coach for scrimmages so a quasi head coach for those he gets in Abby & doubles up as an extended AHL camp.

I doubt Monahan goes that long of a small contract and I wouldn't want to be stuck if it doesn't work out either. I see it place holder for a much much younger 3lc in the future.

Cheech will continue doing National games next year just not doing regional. I was not overly fond of Garret but more familiar with his style and voice. I can't think of anyone as a good replacement. I fear that Sat (where is the closest mirror) Shah will be the new guy.
