"Our defence was terrific. Demmer was solid. We didn't have one passenger tonight...It was a really hard effort from the guys."

Ya Miller does need to be kept in check. Bruce just sat back and let him be a cancer. That was pathetic. Petey already more mature than Miller 5 years younger.

Well tbh…

Mini follows & tracks prospects the most.
I’m in 2nd place.
Reuby tosses darts 🤪

- Nighthawk

Ya, Reuby only starts watching/following these kids at 15/16/17 years old, nothing like the great Minihawk, who starts following them only if in USHL, NCAA or SHL.

Yes present wins don’t mean future wins or good starts to next season. However, how they play and what they do with the coach can be drawn on.

It’s easy to say this is all a facade. We have seen this before. Yet this isn’t the same team. You can’t apply past performance, to present circumstances, by the same logic of discounting these wins.

So here we are, judging the present as hollow and the future as suspect. Can we not measure things for what they are now?

Brisebois a game-time decision. If he can't go, Rathbone will play, Tocchet says.

Didn't really have an update on Wolanin.

Sounds like McDonough will play tomorrow vs. Chicago.

The trade down has been the constant talk of drafts where we don’t like what’s available. So why would there be an offer trade on that? It’s usually make the pick or trade the pick for a player. But hey if they can make a trade down happen why not.

Sounds like a good plan, lets hope they can add to their draft pick total. They seem to be committed to replenishing the prospect pool, which is now almost nonexistent, hard to believe after all that losing.

They have six picks in the first four rounds, they have to get some defensemen and centers back in the prospect fold. The Canucks current situation is completely different that what Jim Rutherford experienced when he went to Pittsburgh in 2014, which he's openly admitted, they were Stanley Cup or bust. Here he has to go back and do what he did when he took over the Whalers/Hurricanes GM role in 1994, build through the draft. Even if it's just good depth!

Listening to Allvin, they don't want to add low ceiling talent in the 1st round. Rutherford liked to add to his defence through rounds 2-4 mostly though. Not spectacular looking D but big, mobile D.

With this being a stronger draft, they could trade down 8 spots and get a player that has a slightly lesser chance of being a solid top 6 but still possible, get a 2nd round pick and grab that D that they like.

Possible they trade down with someone like Seattle and get a 3lc from them. Some haven't liked the idea of Morgan Geekie as 3lc but I'd think he would come pretty cheap and size, right shot, scores at a higher rate than Van's current 3rd and 4th line centers. I'm sure there would be other options like that as well.

Still possibilities of Garland or Boeser going in a trade for a 3rd and 4th like Bjorkstrand last season then they could pack some picks to move up into the 2nd.

I'm not a Garland fan, he's like Podkolzin, just doesn't drive much of the play and he's always on the perimeter, for the money they spend on him he's not worth it. He's gotta go!! At least Pod is young and bullish.

Boeser, although productive, needs to go and get a fresh start somewhere's else. That's 10 million dollars, between the two of them, that could be spent on a good player.

Tocchet wants players with character and grit, that's why Bo was sent packing.

It didn't take the Isle fans long to figure out he's grossly overpaid and overrated.

Good riddance.

I'm still having a hard time computing that Quinn Hughes leads the Canucks in +/- at +18 on the year. Wasn't he like -15 at one point during the year?

Easy you will trigger Neem in his Beta Bo PJs. Maybe they buy him out in the summer and we can bring him back for $1.5MM to be the 4C next season. EP - Miller- Aman - Bo is pretty strong

Beauvillier has 17 points in 23 games for the Canucks, he had 20 in 43 for the Islanders. Plus. Hronek has been excellent through two games for the Canucks. Even if Raty is a bust, that trade should turn out to be a massive win for the Canucks considering how poorly Horvat's played for the Islanders and that ridiculous contract they signed him to!! Suck it Lou!!

That is a lot of production to replace. I think 1 needs to go. Just by numbers and for creating cap space. Need cap space for 3lc.

I think with the rough start last season at one point he may have been a minus but finished the year at +10. Hughes has already hit last years point totals with close to 10 games left and not one Norris Vote to my knowledge. Sad.
