Yeah I see others don’t want to separate past performances. But like you said it’s not the same teams.

The changes last season was about having fun letting them loose. However, that doesn’t work when things fall apart. So the structure now seems to have them not over reach and play within the system. Plus as you said there are changes to personnel and systems play.

I know years back I was the one that came up with the term Country Club.

A lot has changed since then and a lot more is still needed.

This is a strange team still. They have the worst PK in the league yet lead the league in SH goals. They have/ had one of the softest teams and led the league in fights at one point. They have a severe case of Jekyll/Hyde.

I was joking about building a cup winning team and the apocalypse so no one should take it seriously.

I am not hoping Boeser finds his game and they give him a new contract. I am hoping he finds his game and they get a good return in a trade instead of selling at rock bottom.

I think the biggest difference this year regardless of all the changes the team made is that QH, EP40 and Demko are all hitting the beginning of their prime.

They are missing lots of things still. They are missing a big shot at the back. They a missing a guy that can make the huge hits. They are missing a fighter. Missing a 3C. Missing a third forward for Kuz an EP.

It is getting better but they aren't there yet.

Mostly agree. Rather focus on the D. That alone will be a huge start.

I kinda hope he goes to the ducks, (frank) the coyotes what a joke of a franchise. You want to talk country club? Talk about a bs team that plays golf all year and laughs to the bank.

I get what you are saying but I think it is the wrong philosophy. We have joked here for years about 3 years from being 3 years away.

I think we now have a 3 year window and everything needs to be fixed this year. Again it all hinges around EP Hughes and Demko all hitting their prime now and that is the three year window. EP is getting very close to the numbers the Sedins put up in their three prime years around 2010.

Kuz and Miller are great support. They need to fix OEL Myers. The window closes fast so you can't wait around for buyouts to be a good time or wait until contracts to expire.

That is why it is called hitting your peak. You don't usually have multiple players lasting 10 years on the same team all hitting their best years at the same time.

I don't know if you noticed but this management has been selling the future with draft picks in the top three rounds for players that they think can help now (even if they are bad choices).

Canucks have pulled the ultimate Tank all in 1 season. First they tanked their playoff chance. Then they tanked their draft position. All in all a very successful tank

Are they the best worst team, or the worst best team?

If you put together the first half of last year plus the first half of this year, and separately the last half of last year plus the last half of this year... what would the difference be.

Amazing what Bubble Demko and no OEL can do for a team.

I just seen a stat that said Canucks under Tochett have 14 games in which they have given up 2 or less goals. Demko has 8 of those games but Delea and Silovs have 6 of them.

I found that interesting.

Pretty much bang on.

I’m expecting much of what you said to happen or close to it. Cap out 1st then then rest will follow. Going to be a very interesting offseason. The #rebuilders gonna hit full hysteria on tilt mode 🤪😂

Pretty much has to be a very active offseason.

I looked at the Sedins number and age when they hit stride and they only broke 90 points once for Daniel and twice for Henrik. EP has 93 now and is approaching the same age frame less a few years. Miller hit 99 last year but could reach 80 this year.

I am not saying they will assemble a run at the cup team but am saying this is the time to take that swing. Obviously they are not building a team for the future.

No lie lol

Maybe just maybe Canucks don’t want RHD’s Livingstone or Malinski? The former has skating issues. The latter is 24.

Are you aware that Hirose is 1 week older than Livingstone?

I think if Gillis is brought in next season as a 'consultant' some moves could be made to bring in players that could get us to the cup finals. Apparently the rebuild is on hold lol

I don’t feel sorry for media types but it’s another ugly look for this franchise. I think they are pissed at his Rachel Doerrie coverage. He talked a lot about her.

The Canucks media guy sounds like a complete idiot. Who calls themselves “the boss”. That’s pathetic.

Lefty does, but only when his wife is not in earshot.
