I put no thoughts or time into undrafted collegians. Undrafted for a reason & so very few ever pan out. Jr players are at least younger but also the odd one is a late bloomer. Euros are much harder to get a feel on. Play fewer games & on the large ice. Better to wait longer on them.

You need to scour the leagues around the world and hope you can find 1 or 2 of these undrafted players. Been an important part of many teams rosters/farm teams, for well over a decade, from Pittsburgh, Tampa, Boston etc, have been relying on these finds.

Amazing what Bubble Demko and no OEL can do for a team.

Demko has been average. Casual fans are struggling with this

You keep saying this about Gillis but do you forget how much he aired out all the dirty laundry after he left? He went on one show after another running his mouth about how FA wouldn't let him do his job and shed any of the fault of the direction on the team which FA then publicly denied(so they are both liars). I don't think either of these two want to have anything to do with each other and I highly doubt Rutherford has any interest in Gillis. He was hated by the entire management community. When he was GM, most GM's wouldn't deal with a low life weasel like Gillis from all his double dealings and client hold outs etc... except the Panthers who bent him over a barrel over and over of course.

In case you haven't noticed he's been passed on by the league for a decade now. He's as desired as herpes.

I’ve met Gillis a few times (I’m sure you will call me full of sh!t), he is extremely unlikable. That’s a big reason he doesn’t have a job imo

Seravelli; it's great that Tocchet has implemented some structure, but it rarely carries over.

You be an idiot not to take a shot with a free ticket.

I looked to see Pittsburghs over the years Rutherford was there. For centers from what I can tell he is about 1 for 4. Zach Aston Reese only one that made it.

Development is changing ever so slightly.

Farhan: I do not believe OEL will be bought out. As of today, I do not believe the organization has plans to buy him out.

Could that change between now and some point in the summer? It could but I do not believe that's in the plans right now from what I've been told.

Sasson is a left shot, dime a dozen AHL plug forward. Waste of a contract.

Yeah I’d rather they pick a late bloomer in jr with a late growth spurt.

Make that another hat trick for Boldy... had one just a couple of games ago I think.

Your example just seems odd.

Boldy isnt tracking anything like Horvat. Horvat has only reached that kind of production in the last couple of seasons. This is Boldy's sophomore season and he's on fire. 21 years old...

So many ifs would have to happen for your scenario to play out 50/50 in trade value... Like Podz being instrumental in cup wins etc. Boldy has 43G, 53A, 96P in 120 games at 21 y/o.

Anyways, I'm talking now and not in the back half of their career after one of them has won a couple of cups as a role player who stood out. What GM is going to take Podz today over Boldy because he may end up being the next Nuchushkin in a cup run in 6 years...

You are full of poop but I believe you because the league has been pretty open about it. Also, I've paid attention to how he conducted himself as a GM as well as agent. There's a line between being cutthroat and helping your team or making it difficult for your team because you are blacklisted. This is why he was so limited in trade partners.

I know people like to hang on the Ehrhoff trade as him having trade success. True... but he put himself in a position with cap space to force people to come knocking however reluctant they were. Give him thumbs up there because otherwise he mostly only had the Panthers to trade with and got raped over and over.
