Carol mentioned the Canucks hockey gods and Bedard more then a few times before she left so just going with that vibe.

Anyway, seems they are playing the odds. One rookie player won’t make the difference if not all the players improve through better team culture/systems etc. But that doesn’t mean they are done adding better players. Hronek showed what a difference maker he can be to balance out the D. The draft pick needs to be that too or they trade if for a player.

Their small or slight frames had them ranked just around the Canucks draft positions, luckily, in a re-draft Elias Pettersson easily goes first (or 2nd) overall in 2017 and Quinn Hughes goes top three or four in 2018.

The proverbial hockey Gods, what a bunch of nonsense, gifted the Canucks the Sedin twins, Markus Naslund (for Antoski), Todd Bertuzzi and Pavel Bure. Three of the greatest times in Canucks history….2011, West Coast Express, 1994.

KY commenting on Hughes' ceiling is on par. After all Markstrom 4 goals on 16 shots the 25% rule is pretty good. Torts would love it lol. After all GAA and save% really don't matter in the long run...

I can see why Hughes didn’t get any Norris votes. Guy doesn’t play defence, don’t get me wrong every team needs a pp specialist but man his job is to help prevent goals.
