Guys got 21 goals and a -27 on a stacked offensive team.
Some how your acting like it would be a better Sabres season with him...
Over perhaps the almost 30goals. Guy - Boss34
How are they stacked offensively compared to the Sabres top 6. And you seem to forget the 35 or so assists he has |
|
|
|
Absolutely, but every other ten game segment, they had a winning record, if I'm not mistaken (up until recently, that is) - Powerslave
Honestly I think Granato is the problem. The defense needs to be upgraded but damn Donnie can't get this team to play an ounce of defense after 70 games. |

Pulling the trigger early can backfire with young players... - Boss34
adams did put tage on the trade block for a 5th round pick

adams can't hold the ball again this summer
he needs to do something with it |
|
|

He did with Tampa though. Thats why he was labelled a genius. - sabresfan69
The Lightning went from ECF in his first year there to picking 3rd overall after year three.
Stamkos and Hedman were drafted by previous regimes.
Idk how much credit he deserves for taking Kucherov 58th overall in 2011, Brayden Point in the third round in 2014, or Anthony Cirelli in the third round of 2015.
Look at that though, the core of the closest thing to a dynasty the NHL has seen since the Blackhawks was predominantly drafted and developed by the organization.
I’m shocked.
But hey, Adams draft and develop plan is crap cause we aren’t winning today amirite. |

It wouldn't bother me if he fired Granato but I doubt that happens |

Some on here said that.
You mean give it a chance?
Hmmm...
Detroit needs goalies, too. They have exactly ONE twenty goal scorer.
Why do they get a pass? - Powerslave
Not giving them a pass, they are not my team. And yes they have 1 20 goal. And we have what 4 or 5 and had a legit shot and Adams kicked it to another season. |

They would've rather seen their friend healthy scratched every game? I doubt that. - Powerslave
He's played less then 45 minutes in the last 5 games in Nashville. Averaging 11/12 shifts a game.
Another poster mentioned hes been a healthy scratch in nashville.
Are we acting like this was a promotion. That was KA for good tv. 😀 |

Do you put Levi in this season 5-6 games, behind this clown show (no pun intended 😂) to see what you have, and hope he doesn't get lit up?
Imo, he has to get a real (frank)ing goalie, start Levi in the AHL and waive Comrie next year. |

I have no problem w Vinny. Asplund skates fast, plays decent defense. - Powerslave
Asplund's actual Nhl value = 7th round pick
It was just established, barely from the looks of things.

This team cant' beat the Islanders without Barzal.
Next year how will we beat the Islanders, Pittsburgh, Florida and Detroit icing the same team.
Its gonna be rough if Adams curls up with his ball and spews the same stuff that growing will come from within. |

Sorry, I'm not buying that by trading Rasmus (frank)ing Asplund, it was the downfall of this season. |

If next year is more of the same
Granato 3 years no playoffs
Adams 4 years no playoffs
They better get their poop together this off season.
If Adams doesn't want to make some trades he will be out on his ass. - sabresfan69
If the rumors were true and they were worried about Levi going back to school if they traded for a veteran goalie, well, they don’t have to worry about that now. Levi doesn’t seem like the type that wouldn’t understand why they do it, either.
One would imagine KA also sees the same defensive holes that you all see. Were they waiting on their college boy D to sign (or not) before making any moves?
I don’t see them just sitting on their hands this summer. They just can’t

Yeah, we need more guys passing the puck instead of shooting.
I get what you're saying.

The Sabres have a core that’s comparable to any of the great teams of the last 15 years
Thompson/Tuch/Cozens/Dahlin/Power is a fantastic core
Some of us have 0 faith Adams will be able to get the Marian Hossa’s or the Ryan McDonagh’s or the Justin Williams of the world that you need to actually win
Reason we have 0 faith is that he has yet another to prove he can get a fourth defensemen or a goalie with a +.900 sv %
So yeah he can draft and develop all he wants

home vs habs
if he holds his own, on the road vs wings and one of the last 2 games sens/blue jackets
sheltered starts
if he holds his own in practice

The unfortunate reality is, drafting and developing takes time.
A lot of our younger players got meaningful development this year whether they were on the parent club or not.
The Sabres won’t make the playoffs this year, but they have an embarrassment of riches in terms of young talent.
Unless Adams is completely brain dead, this should be a team that is a perennial playoff team starting as early as next season. |

Levi wont be playing with the sabres next year though. If Adams wants to go with UPL and Comrie next year as they are both under contract Adams will be out of a job. It will be a trainwreck and the arena will be empty. |

Palat and Vasy were also drafted and developed by the organization. Tyler Johnson and Yanni Gourde were undrafted free agents that came up through Syracuse.
So essentially, the Lightning amateur scouting staff built a dynasty.
They traded for McDonagh and Miller at the deadline on route to a President winning trophy season. Not just to make the playoffs like some we’re hoping Adams would do.
The time to go big d!ck swinging will come though. |

Yes, I’m sure it all has an effect. .
I was just alluding to someone here blaming the wags for wearing the boys out on their Bahamas trip. |

Looking at the pre/ post deadline record.
I think you're right, they got spanked by Columbus and boston just prior. 🤝
Maybe its 99% greenways fault
