Yes, I’m sure it all has an effect. .
I was just alluding to someone here blaming the wags for wearing the boys out on their Bahamas trip. - Ratsreign
Maybe the Sabres goal was to be in the playoff hunt at the allstar break?
Mission accomplished, time to celebrate..... |

Asplund's actual Nhl value = 7th round pick
It was just established, barely from the looks of things. - Boss34
That video was cringey. |

I'm not selling you anything 😉
Looking at the pre/ post deadline record.
I think you're right, they got spanked by Columbus and boston just prior. 🤝
Maybe its 99% greenways fault - Boss34
I blame Olofsson 😉

Levi wont be playing with the sabres next year though. If Adams wants to go with UPL and Comrie next year as they are both under contract Adams will be out of a job. It will be a trainwreck and the arena will be empty. - sabresfan69
Yes, I’m saying I think he will go get a more proven and reliable starter
there’s no excuse for him not to go get a goalie to bridge them to Levi time. |

As sabres fan we are all hoping this along with Bryson and Clague gone.
Pressure is on Adams this off season. Its easy to say what we think he will do but he still has to do it and until he does he doesn't get a free pass. |

idk, maybe the Isles didn’t get worn out by their wives and/or girlfriends on an allstar break Bahamas trip?

I think Adams has a really long leash.
Hasn't everything pointed to this offseason?
Dahlin and 10th OA for the rights to bedard ...... |

"Going through this is just like getting into the playoffs and being swept. You have to hope that by going through this, the youngest team in the NHL will know how to react next year when big games happen. This also gives Granato and Kevyn Adams a good idea of what they need to do with this team and who they can move forward with. Darcy Regier used to get married to his players and the Sabres still haven’t won the Stanley Cup. Adams can’t fall into that trap."

The modern day JP Dumont or Ales Kotalik. Gets his goal (never an assist, though, and why?) and then floats the rest of the game.
He can go, too. |

I’m Sorry, but I go back to coaching on our play down the stretch. A real coach puts us on
the track to get in. Goaltending sucks, but actually play stats and strengths in matchups when picking starters.
Don’t just throw a farking dart at a board and which ever goalie it lands on, start them.
Don’t bench players who’ve played very well lately for shart players.
Pull a goalie after 3 or 4 goals.
Quit farking with lines that work.
Don’t put Dahlin with the worst defensemen ton the league. He’s not a shutdown defensemen.
Don’t play a cement foot, no hands, shatty player that refuses to play physical despite being a monster on any line but the 4th. Krebs is 10x the player skill wise vs Greenway. |

You can see the fear that he'll say he was in on all the calls, and end up doing very little this summer. Pretty much the whole team is under contract next year, except a couple aging (to put it mildly) vets.
He's going to need to move guys out to make additions. Something he's shown no aptitude for.

Change your tune on a Dahlin extension? Benching VO was the last straw?

Which could be rationalized up until this point.
Even the people who can see the vision, know it’s time to make his moves.
I think everyone on here agrees he’s got to make the playoffs next year |

This thought will cause rage among some, but does it almost seem like they used these last few games to get looks at more guys in pressure situations. Kinda Like a mini camp to make decisions on a few guys as to who they might trade as they look towards plans for next season? |

So Adams hasn't been able to get a starting goalie for 3 years but this time is different.

We'll see. If he thinks his job is on the line, suddenly trading futures is a lot easier. I doubt he's under that pressure.

Does his vision include only having forwards in the prospect pool? |

How many GMs have missed the playoffs 4 years in a row and still had a job?
Serious question. |
