Here is my take on the whole dang thing. First let me say people are people know matter what end of story, All people should all be treated with respect.

For me, I go to Sporting events to escape reality for 3-5 hours. I don't care what you call yourself or identity as, if your part of the LGBTQ community great. Just don't shove your agenda down my throat and players should have the choice to decide if wearing jerseys align with their morals and beliefs.

I’ve heard people with objections to pride nights, several of them I was rather surprised to hear them say so.
I asked why there would be any objections if they truly believed in equal rights and tolerance for differing views, to “live and let live”. They feel it recently has become an agenda that is being shoved down their throats. They have no problem tolerating others, but they don’t want any part of “celebrating” the lifestyle they disagree with.
Judging from news/internet, The biggest reason for many taking a stand may be the heightened transgender debates (? for lack of a better word). Seems like that’s the line many just won’t cross. They are worried about the messages young kids are receiving from movies/tv, and social media, and maybe even at school. Grooming is a big buzz word. Something has changed in the atmosphere surrounding it all. Players who once participated in pride night now took a pass on it. Perhaps they now feel participating crosses from tolerance into approval?
Do those who disagree with participating deserve tolerance, too?

So much for using sports games as a temporary escape from all of the assorted daily bullpoop, I guess.
