Speaking about you being happy. After Kreider scored vs Nashville, I checked his career totals. He needs 2 more to pass Hadfield. He's gonna be the 3rd best goal scorer this franchise has ever seen, maybe 2nd. Just incredible.

And he will still always be hated on by most of the fanbase lol

Probably also speaks to the rarity of players staying on Broadway for so long. IDK.
- Tonybere

I mean it's just so rare for the Rangers see out a player's career that they have drafted and that player live up to the hype. Happy for Kreider. Happy for Matt as he's been the Kreider guy from day 1.

Hard to hate a guy who has 84 goals in his last 148 games.

Edit: And if you're hating more than me, you have a problem.

I think he'll need a Cup, if they win the Cup I guarantee he'll be up there, he's going to be the all time leader in Rangers playoff goals with his next playoff goal

#20 getting raised to the rafters when all is said and done?

Tough to say yes without some hardware to go with the stats.

I mean Ratelle and Hadfield are up there. He's better than both of them in the playoffs. Might pass Ratelle in regular season goals if he stays healthy throughout his deal.

For a while, I was one of the people that considered him extremely overrated by the fan base. I didnt hate him, but to me he wasnt the guy that many thought he was. The biggest knock on Kreider was being extremely inconsistent. The only consistent thing about him was you knew when he hit a slump, it was gonna be bad and he was visibly in his own head. Took him a decade but he finally got past it.

While I really appreciate Girardi he just didn't have enough going for him to end up in the rafters.

Kreider would make a strong case if he can finish out here whether or not he adds some hardware.

Chris Kreider is gonna be top 5 in:

Playoff games, Regular season games, Regular season goals, Playoff goals.

Has an outside chance a top 5 in total points. I don't see how you can not retire his number.

I'd say it's pretty much a definite like you lay out but I don't know the future for sure. If he continues to be somewhat productive/healthy he likely has his special night for sure.

Yeah if he can score 20 goals for the next 4 seasons. That puts him 2nd overall in goals. If he averages 40 points in that same time frame, that puts him 7th overall in points. Really rooting for him.

That all seems very attainable. He might end up even higher.

If they win, might have to retire his number too. He's right behind Kreider in playoff goals.

Zib is creeping up in all categories. He may end up over a PPG for his Rangers career. The huge what if scenario, if 2020 went off without a hitch. He had 41 goals (75 points) in 57 games, madness.

To me one of his biggest traits that you can’t put numbers to or quantify, is his screening ability in front of the crease. How many goals does he create for players like Zib just by causing havoc and getting in shooting lanes on the goalie. Very underrated how that job isn’t easy but essential
