They are a very flawed pair. Miller is usually out of position. Bad awareness in his own zone. Trouba is better positionally, just not great at zone exits. For whatever reason they dont really play well together in spite of being a pair for this long. Miller has a very enticing ceiling he is just better served on the 3rd pair currently bc of the issues in his own zone. Problem is they have nobody better to slot up there - nyrangers2

As far as Miller, it’s not like he didn’t have 4 pts in period a couple nights ago |

Great summary Jan!
Just have to disagree where the game turned:
For the life of me, I can't figure out why Miller left his man to go into the corner with Trouba to go double the Canes player. Spot that Miller vacated is where they scored from. A 2-1 game and crowd was buzzing became 2-2 on that bone-headed play and MSG got real quiet. To me, that's where the game turned...
On to Carolina! - TommyGTrain
I'm pretty sure after that goal, they were split up the rest of the game. They had Miller with Schneider and Trouba with Mikkola. Anyone else notice that or was it just caught in between changes? Is there somewhere to check that? |

My opinion is the first PP cost them the game. It changed the momentum where after it they barely had the puck. They did very little. I think they should have Panarin Kane Zib Kreider and Fox on PP1. He did that for the first time, I think, and it looked better than it did earlier in the game. Definitely didn’t match their effort either
The big guns were all very quiet, and a couple of costly mistakes and they lost. Nothing that isn’t fixable. I’d expect a better effort on Thursday |

Not a soccer guy by any means, but did anyone see the goalie goal? Pretty wild. The goalie at the other end kind of misplayed it like a CFer would on a fly ball. Boom over his head and rolled into the net |

You’re obviously killing him (it’s his turn) so I won’t engage. We’re lucky to have him tho 🤷🏻‍♂️ |

Which is crazy, cause before they went to western Canada and during the Canucks game, Miller was rolling. And before that stretch started, Miller was the better of the two defensively according to the metrics. Idk what's happening with him. - tomburton99 |

The canes are relentless. They just keep coming. All 3 goals came from in front although the third was a little left of Igor. But nonetheless should have been shut down. GG knows what kind of game Carolina plays, you would think he would have figured out with his coaches on how to break their hard press. But I think tomorrow they will play better, hopefully.

They had a good first period, then that Pk they had turned the game around. Rangers had them on the ropes a bit, but they couldn’t get a 2 goal lead which would’ve deflated them. All things considered, they were a step behind the rest of the night. No doubt they’ll need be better tomorrow, and in a playoff series if it happens. Canes scored one goal without our help. The Chatfield goal was just a great shot, the other two they blew coverages |

I can guarantee you the other 31 teams would love a pair like Miller and Trouba. You literally analyze every mistake those two make. They wouldn’t be a playoff team without either guy. It’s really that simple - Slimtj100

There you go. You just need to do it in a manner where the link usually ends in the file format. This site is so far out of date it's ridiculous. I was on forums in 2005 that were more advanced than this site. |
