Have no idea why, but Google Analytics has decided I'm in the market for an outdoor barrel sauna.
Not gonna lie - I think they are pretty cool, so I don't mind seeing the ads next to everything I read on the internet.
But seriously - every page I look at now has an ad for them. - Atomic Wedgie
sounds cool - how the f do you get those ads to pop up?
haven't seen an ad since '18 |

Interesting article on Sandin on the athletic.
I remember a lot of us, leaf fans all around getting mad at Sandin for not signing a contract until training camp.
Turns out his mother was battling cancer and he chose to put family first to stay in Sweden and be with her over signing a contract. Some on the Leafs didnt even know this.
Just shows that us fans need to shut the (frank) up sometimes when we complain about a player not signing, signing, playing bad. Sometimes there is a reason beyond them just playing bad or not putting pen to paper fast enough for us. |

I just got back from running an errand - one of the stations was interviewing Craig Simpson, who has to be the biggest Leafs Hatr on earth.
Even he was fluffing off the Leafs' current sag - said it was just human nature, as they know who they are playing.
He also said something interesting; he said he preferred to start a series on the road. Get a win, put pressure on the other team.
Anyhoo, it got me to do some derp deep thinking.
Every single one of us wrote in the prediction thread that they didn't care what happens in the regular season - we will judge the Leafs by what they do in the playoffs.
And here we are in prep time for the playoffs, as Keefe tries out new combinations, as the Leafs are on pace for what I think will be their 3rd best season in franchise history.
But they threw up a stinker 3rd period in a meaningless away game on a Tuesday night, and everyone here wants to crucify them.
I'll say it again:
This is why we can't have nice things. - Atomic Wedgie
We can have nice things but we sometimes don’t realize that we have nice things. Anyway, I’d take starting at home. I think last change will be a big advantage

Pretty sure I made comments as well, saying he thinks he is better than Liljregren.
Have to slow down on these players, there is usually a reason beyond them hating the team they play for for why they are sucking or holding out for a contract. |

Reminds me of Bryan McCabe.
His wife had a medical issue, and he flat-out told the Leafs he couldn't possibly sign a new contract until she recovered from the surgery.
JFJ (think it was him at the time) panicked, and kept upping the offer.
McCabe finally signed a contract he couldn't possibly live up to, and Leafs fans ran him out of town.
Gawd, I hate this franking team. And I hate all of you for cheering for them. |

So he was playing poorly because he was in a bad headspace...and not because he was playing on his offside?
Not sure which excuse is better. Guessing the first. |

Interesting wrinkle for Knies.
if he dresses for one game for the leafs he is ineligible to play for the Marlies this year. So no Calder cup run for those hoping the plan was him playing there. |

Her health picked up in the fall, it wasn't about how he was playing. It was him not coming back to hockey until his mother was better.
He was not holding out for more money like 97% of leaf fans were yelling at him for. |

Or there is more to it...or maybe a combo of both.
Contracts are usually negotiated by the agent and player can it from anywhere. |

His own words, he literally said it was why.
Within the last few days too, not sure how you can think it is any different unless you think he was possessed and it wasn't actually Rasmus Sandin talking. |

He should fire his agent or be thankful he's in Washington where something this trivial as a 6/7 yougn defenseman not signing early is not headline news. |

He is dressing for the Leafs this season, regardless of if anyone thinks he will be a leaf in playoffs.
That part is quite obvious. Unless he gets injured in the NCAA and that means he plays no where. |

Sandin simply said he stayed with his mom and thats why he wasnt at camp and the leafs were understanding of that. |
