2. It seems like there isn't much room for Knies on the roster this year. And, putting him in the AHL seems dumb to me. Too many knuckle draggers trying to injure. He's only a sophomore currently, so he has 2 more years of college. Shouldn't that be taken in to consideration some how? Burning a year of his ELC when he still has two years of college left, technically his whole ELC could be burned while he's still in college. Not sure if I'm right on this but if I am he shouldn't see the Leafs ice at all this year. No?

No, its the point ive always had.
Didnt think knies would get tossed into the fire of a leafs playoff run unless injuries required him to do so.

Also he is a NCAA prospect, he can go back to school for a few years and become a free agent. Just give the kid a shot ffs, he deserves it

I didnt twist anything, just said there could still be more to it as he could have signed a contract from anywhere.

According to what I’ve been reading a lot of hockey people think Knies will not only make the team but actually be a difference maker.

Signing a bridge or long term deal would likely be at a much smaller AAV out of his sophomore season than his 3rd year.

Also if you don't sign him and play him this year he could very well go back go school next season...then next year this time he could just play one more season and sign wherever he wants.
