So the golf club we joined includes an account with Golf Canada, where I calculate my handicap.

Garmin won't directly upload it to Golf Canada (although let's be honest - it might, and I just don't know how to do it!).

When I get home, I call up Golf Canada on one screen of my computer, and Garmin Connect on the other screen and look at my last game. I enter in every hole individually - takes less than two minutes. Golf Canada then does the calculations.



Never. They've got over 43,000 courses.

I’m the loser that can tell you exactly what I shot and my playing partners. When we were kids we always had people trying to cheat so it was one of those things you just learned how to do. Granted all my buddies are good golfers so it’s not like I’m trying to figure out if they had an 11 or a 13 on the hole.

There is so many different factors that go into the handicap system that I don’t really think it makes a difference in the grand scheme of things. From difficulty of course to what tees you play and they dont count every round you use either.

Anyhoo - in a non poop way I’m hoping for a loss for the Buds today. I feel Panthers can tire out and play physical enough to do damage vs the Bruins in postseason.

By the by - I still think that Leafs can upset the Bruins. The Leafs are a very strong deep team and I think they are one of a couple teams that can take them out if they play to potential. Some teams no matter if they are rollin or not can’t beat that team.

Damn that’s a nice course. I’m jealous. Nicest course I played was in Hawaii. It was rated top 50 in the states and the views were insane. It was around $250/US but you can’t go to Hawaii and not play golf.

They also offered sunset tours where you basically get in a golf cart with a bunch of drinks and you drive to different parts of the course and overlook crazy views with the sunsetting. It was worth every penny. It was cool because you can bring the wives but somehow I don’t think my wife loved it as much because I had played the day before and was yapping her ear off telling her where I hit every shot the day before.

But i once golfed with my ex ex ex' dad on a course an hour or so outside thunder bay overlooking lake superior. That was cool.

A month or so ago, I played Pebble Beach on a simulator with three guys who have played the real course. I have not.

It was franking torture to hear them yammering away for 18 holes about how great the real course was.

Matthews does not get enough credit for his terrible moustache.

It’s somewhat similar but obviously not the same. A couple holes that were right on the ocean. You were up about 80-120’ off the water so if you hit your ball off course that thing is gone.

Pebble is public but I’m pretty sure it’s up to $650US now.
