Man that rink had the worst ice! So weird walking into that place didn’t feel like a rink. The worst dressing room though hands down Chesswood Arena - that was my home barn for the most part of minor hockey. Best part of that was California Sandwiches just across the way after those games!

I remember Ted Reeve Arena! No team played there when I was a kid but for practices absolutely. I think they had a AA team there. There was a good place to buy twigs down the street at a hockey shop.
The guy who did Dean Youngbloods on ice scenes was Randy Walker - big time butthead. He coaches the Wexford Raiders who are bit a team any longer (they had a Metro Jr team as well same name) for a season and always bragged about it. Maybe the last game of the season he freaks out looses his poop at ref and starts screaming that he was Dean Youngblood haha. In reality he was a good player as a kid I believe but just an angry has been as an adult.

My nephew was a screenwriter and that was one of the first movies he worked on. I spent a few days watching the filming. Stevie Thomas and Zezel (the real one) were there. They spent most of the time standing around or just goofing in the ice waiting for the next shot.

I got to go out for dinner with Cindy Gibb who was gorgeous so that was cool. The rumour on the set was that she and Rob Lowe were very realistic in the shooting of their sex scenes. The other big rumour was that Rob Lowe had big time mafia money staking his career.

Ya man!! They did play there! Crazy to tho l how much the MTHL AAA teams have changed so much. So many more teams and some that no longer exist anymore. I always use to think it was weird that the Mississauga Reps wore the Blackhawks sweater but there was a team (left before the Raiders) that were called the Mississauga Blackhawks and their sweater was a literal black hawk…they became the Mississauga Senators.
