Knies is not playing meaningful minutes on this team this year
- Azuredoom

I think his play will dictate how it goes.

Hey Gigsie, have you heard the live 'Dark Side' lp from Wembley '74 that Pink Floyd dropped as part of the 50th anniversary? It's very very good, full album in complete sequence including voices, sound effects, etc.: "I've been mad for (frank)ing years...."

I'm a big PF fan. Have been deep diving into a lot of Gilmours guitar parts - I got a Road Worn Strat a while ago - haven't had an electric guitar for 15 years, but have been playing for 30 years, mostly acoustic. Had a Telecaster back in the day. Also, are you looking forward to the Waters re-recoreded Dark Side coming out in May?

First bolded- I haven't. Is that possible to get on YouTube or something?

Second bolded- I didn't know that was happening, but I'll for sure look into it when it comes out.

Some (all) of my lady friends don't like Floyd, or at least not listening to it in a group setting (they prefer more upbeat music). So I basically only listen to Floyd when I'm at home. And I've not been listening to much music at all lately. But I should really start rocking some tunes again.

I remember thinking that after acquiring ROR that Dubas needed to upgrade top 6 LW to be able to play ROR at 3C.

When he didn't, it gave me the thought that they could be expecting Knies to fill that role.

Time will tell.

I was clearly the opposite - always trying to analyze unknown future processes. Seems to me that Monkey had the easier job. I mean; analyzing former processes - how hard can that be...
- 21peter

I don't know if you've noticed, but I do seem to have a fair amount of spare time . . .

Truthfully, I've been in IT since 1999, though. I had that job from 96 - 99, and in most aspects what a couple of us did was develop internal screen scrapers for our groups because IT was too expensive and bureaucratic - but holistically the process team still had to do the process work (I forget which training course we actively employed then) of continual improvement where you just keep evaluating and applying changes to the processes to enhance them. I was very happy that my principal work was development and not the tedium of trying to improve a 21 day process incrementally by 6 minutes.

The AHL Marlies have to do that.
So why would Knies do that anyways?
To save the Leafs an elc year is pretty underhanded on their part.

- Nighthawk

How's that?
He's an asset under their control and to to me it should be as long as they can.

I don't think it worth burning a year of his elc just for a few games in the regular season.
I'd rather have a vet like ZAR in there than a kid out of collage.

Lady friends, huh! You old dog!

You can listen to on Spotify for free, but there will be the odd commercial.

Minnesota is playing right now (just scored, so up 1-0) and if they lose, when can Knies sign by? Monday?

I'm leaning the opposite, actually.

The Leafs clearly think very highly of the kid, as do a lot of others around the NHL. So if they're right, and he turns out to be what they think he will be, I say burn a year and get him signed to less $$$ for longer, before he reaches those heights.

CAP still ain't going up as much as it should, so I think it'd be a huge way to save CAP space.

Most of them are married, so it ain't like that. I meant literally the women don't care to listen to it.

Nice. My brother has Spotify, so I'll try to just bum his poop.

Honestly, no need to rush him. Rarely works out well for the leafs.
The leafs have enough proven nhlers.
If they play him and he jumps up the chart, great, but with the amount of pressure for the leafs to win and the consequences if they dont. No need to expose him to that. Imo.
But we'll see

damn
you have a system as to how you 'take care' of them - like the ones with names starting with an A, B or C on Mondays and so on?
they all know that they're only one of many?
damn

Not saying to rush him or anything. But 100% get him into a couple games to see. And apparently if he plays even a single game it burns a year. And I'd have absolutely no problem with it.

Whether he plays in the playoffs or not will come down entirely to him and how he handles it.
