I have not read these threads much since the deadline deals, Or followed the Rangers all that closely....But how is Kane doing? Is the fan base happy with his play? Obviously giving up very little to acquire Kane will skew opinions. But i for one thought he had a lot left in the tank to give to a contending team. Looking forward to watching him in the playoffs!

Honestly majority wanted him. Vocal minority, (myself leading the cause here) didn't want him. Has he been good, kind of. Better than I expected? Yes.

Way to back that up with some facts.
Man, I didn't want him either, but for off-ice reasons. Your stubborn need to female dog about everything he does or does not do is getting old.
Kane has 8 points in 12 game with us. We are 8-3-1 on those games. Yeah, he has 14 giveaways to 4 takeaways over that time, but that is literally the only stat is clearly negative and we are winning 2 out of 3 with his horrible defense in the line up.
What is it that you are really whining about? 'Cause it ain't that we're not winning.

I don't like or trust him as player. Game score as a Blackhawk: 0.11. Game score as Ranger (small sample size) 0.64. To say he's been bad or stunk with the Rangers is wild. But hey, it's 2023. Facts no longer matter.

Serious question, what does he do well that has made this team better. Because being 8-3-1 has very little to do with Kane.

He appropriately slotted both Vesey and Goodrow on the fourth line and the cost to get him was minimal.

I dont care if Kane had 40 goals since he got here

the only thing that matters is what he does in the playoffs, to me these are exhibition games for him as he gets better acquainted with where he fits here

Well, he's a member of the team averaging 18min of ice per game, with 6 even strength points (one of our biggest weaknesses), so I dispute your claim that he has little to do with winning games. Apart from that, he has allowed us to move Vesey to the 4th line where he is excelling. The biggest knock against him by many (myself included) was his lack of effort on defense. Guess what? I have seen him hustle to get back multiple times EVERY game since he's been here. And I've been watching for it, because I thought he wouldn't. But, while I'm not going to claim he's a saviour or infallible, he has been a net positive overall in MY OPINION. I don't see why we shouldn't expect him to produce more as he gets more time in with his new teammates.

I’m a little disappointed in him so far. And I was the biggest cheerleader as we know. It’s still early tho, he’ll have plenty of moments coming up.

Winning is the ultimate indicator of success.

Rangers are on an 8-1-1 kick right now...funny, I feel like that was mentioned here by someone whose name rhymes with vee-jay.

I was not in favour, either. But, for me it was about attitude, defensive effort and cost to acquire. So far, all those things have been better than I expected and should keep improving.
The only Ranger I never cheered for was Avery. So, as long as you're not a complete trash human being on and off the ice, I've got your back as long as you wear the Blueshirt!!

He’s been absolute trash defensively but we all knew that was the case. I’ve been impressed with Tarasenko in that department though

I don't think he has been bad. The only surprising thing is he looks slower than I remember. Hip might be a problem there.

I expect a Martin St Louis type 2014 playoff run from Patrick Kane numbers wise with some clutch moments
