People sleep on the air force. One of the best paid parties out there. I had what I consider a successful military career in my Army/contractor years because I discovered early how to get paid and did so eventually, but Air Force is always where I advise a young person to go. The Army is awful in many respects.

When I first went to Afghanistan in 2003 we were just then ivading Iraq. My unit had to fly over Turkish airspace en route in country. When we invaded Iraq, Turkey went Ape and would not allow the US Military into their airspace. We had to rerout and ended up at a place called Manas Air Force Base in Kyrgyzstan for three days. On Firday the Airfoce just shut the place down and basically turned it into a nightclub. Shìt was wild.

Go airforce, and thanks for the memories! It's like being in the military but way more fun.
