Not to out and out defend Botterill but examples like Montour make it hard for me to give too much credit for Adams for anything he’s really done so far.

Montour is simply away from Krueger. And he’s taken off.

The Sabres have a billion first round picks on the roster currently. Like legitimately the entire forward core. They were organically going to be good under anyone who isn’t maybe the worst coach ever.

He was horribly misused in a system that only helped Jokiharju.

Championship game Saturday 4/8. Sabres have 4 games remaining, beginning that following Monday. I think they'd like to get him those 4 games to take that experience into the offseason.

If he loses against BU, there's a chance he plays that Saturday vs the Canes
