Teammates called him out before or after the playoff game.

He didn’t even fly with the team to the game.

- Sabretooth9

Sammy Watkins...

"Watkins acknowledged he was being selfish by asking Jackson to play through injury for the Ravens"

“He’s got an opportunity to win a Super Bowl,” Watkins added. “I hope he hobbles back out there. . . . Put him out for the pass plays, and don’t run him at all. But you never know. That could be wrong. I’m being very selfish right now, just to want him to be out on the field. But, man, what a great thing it would be to see 8 touch the field this Sunday, and we go out there and blow them out. But that’s for Lamar and everybody else to figure out. Hope miraculously something happens, somebody reach out to him, whether it’s a coach or somebody, and he decides to play. But that’s a question if he’s healthy or he’s not. I don’t know. I haven’t been watching him.”

One teammate did, then others came to his defense:

"You can't let a guy like him go," Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell said Monday as players were cleaning out their lockers following the team's 24-17 Super Wild Card Weekend defeat at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals. "I know it's football, and there's always some new exciting toy, new exciting kid that has potential to go out there and be great. but this is a for-sure, a known. You know Lamar Jackson is an incredible player. I think it's in the best interests of the Ravens' organization to give him a long-term contract, make him our guy."

Ronnie Stanley, his left tackle, missed 26 games between the 2020 and 2021 seasons while trying to get healthy from an ankle injury that required multiple surgeries. He also had no issue with how Jackson went about his rehabilitation process.

"I never once questioned Lamar's tactics when it came to his body," Stanley said Monday. "He knows what's going on in his body more than we all know. I felt the same about my situation. There's a lot of things that may look good to the normal eye that may seem like someone can perform. But when you do this at a high level, you know if you can be effective or not. I trust Lamar."

"Yes, I hope that he's going to be back," Andrews said Monday. "That's my guy. I have nothing but love and respect for No. 8 as a person, as a player and as a friend. I love the guy, so I hope he's back."

If you're lamar, should you take a penny less then watson?

Less $ , less upfront $ , anything less?

No

You should probably get paid more, not less.

I see then as equally talented nfl qbs, maybe the edge to lamar.

Off field situations completely different. (Hopefully)

200 mil guaranteed on a 250 mil contract 12 months ago was not good enough for him

watson's deal is in outlier not a norm

must be nice to turn down 200 mil guaranteed money

Many people think the NHL Trade Deadline is a Trade Deadline. It’s not. Players can still be traded after the Trade Deadline. However, traded players cannot play in any regular season and/or playoff games this season with the acquiring team.

- Stripes77

Maybe trade for chryrun now ? 😀

Thirtysixensons would be in his glory.

Oh, he's predictably injured...... perfect, pair him with samuelsson in the nacho line.

nhl.com article on Eichel making the playoffs:

It seems hard to grasp that the 26-year-old has never experienced the electricity, the highs, the lows, the adrenaline rush of the postseason. The Sabres missed the playoffs in each of his first six seasons in Buffalo. He was traded to Vegas on Nov. 4, 2021, but the Golden Knights missed the postseason for the first time last season.

His personal drought should end shortly with the Golden Knights (46-21-6) a virtual lock to clinch a playoff berth; they are in first place in the Pacific Division, four points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings, with nine games to go.

"That's what you play for, right?" Eichel said after the Vegas morning skate Saturday in Edmonton. "You work for years to get to the postseason and give yourself a chance to win the ultimate prize.

"Obviously we're not there yet. We can't look too far ahead. The focus is on putting ourselves in the best position."

Eichel said he's always watched the playoffs since he entered the League. Now, he said, it's time he participates.

"Losing wears on you," Eichel said. "You just want to be on the other side of it."

How many outliners can there really be at the QB1 position in the nfl?

You're a successful fantasy manager.
You watch all the games.....

These guys are similar too me anyways.

1 year inflation.

Its disrespectful to offer less....

One guy is respected , the other plays in Cleveland

If Deshaun Watson signs his contract before Josh Allen, we are having the same discussion here. It’s how NFL contract work.

The Cleveland Browns broke the contract market and now teams are colluding to not give out a contract like that again.

not all owners can drop 250 to 300 mil in an escrow account

or want to on a qb who's style makes him more likely to get injured

"Guaranteed money is reportedly a sticking point in negotiations between the Ravens and their Pro Bowl quarterback. This summer, he reportedly turned down a six-year deal that included $133 million guaranteed. A franchise tag is still a likely option."

Dunno where you are getting that dollar figure from

That's a good point.

They need to trade lamar if their owner cant pay big boy nfl football contracts to qb1.

Is lamar more likely to get hurt then watson?
I'd say they play a similar game.
Lamar runs more....

Cleveland set the market. That's what happens.

Makes big ballz beane look even smarter.

And top 5 gm kvyn Adams even smarter...
With his top 2 centers long term....

The Bills had DL Jordan Phillips in for an official free agent visit. He returned to the Bills in 2022 and perhaps that run will continue again in 2023.

Not even 3 full months. 130 mass shootings.
