They seem to be very good at identifying and developing offense. That’s obvious.

Every team in the world can develop offence by just letting players play their own game. Not very many prospects enter the pro ranks with a defence first resume. What really counts is how the coaching staff molds the team into a structured system where all players know their role. Donnie isn't the man. This team is talented but they need a coach with some balls to put some players in roles they may not like.

Greenway can hold a slot for a year until Nadeau is ready. Not really liking the Greenway acquisition. Turning into a waste of a decent pick. But guess we see how next year goes.

When you consciously point to a career underachiever like Kyle Okposo and say "this is the guy we want our young players to learn from", you're delusional if you think you get a result other than what you've seen all this month of March.

I think the active box model of penalty killing is the most effective form. Sure, it's higher risk than the passive box, but there's a greater chance of disrupting a play and thereby shutting down the powerplay opportunity.

Now some may say that the diamond formation takes away the point the best, and while this is true, I need my goalie to make a save from the point and the low diamond formation leads to too many screens for the goalies.

That leaves us only with the "collapse" model of penalty killing and that leads to an absolute shooting gallery as the outside players can tee off.

I think they should be aiming for a really solid Islanders of three years ago type of 4th line. Just three guys with a modicum of skill who are going to go 100MPH every shift and will make a play or two every game.

Team needs a spark plug, lots of high end talent but soft, been the design of all Adams lead rosters.

My take from what Cozens said, he got too caught up in making the playoffs, tells me this team has no swagger.

Unbelievable talent but no balls. They need a wrecking ball that oozes passion earning his paycheck in the rough stuff.
