Maybe the isles and Panthers choke and the season is resurrected. I’ll be happily eating crow if that were to happen. - SoCalPucks
Could happen with the Panthers with their difficult last two (Leafs, Hurricanes), but I can't see it happening with the Islanders last two opponents (Caps, Montreal). |

How’s his new team doing, oh you forgot about Detroit, huh? - turbo044
Read the full conversation, discussed existing roster when he started and the example given was Yzerman in Tampa. |

Def not deranged.
Just would never of thought id be readying miserable post after miserable post when still in the playoff hunt in April after missing the playoffs for 11 years.
Talk about deranged…. - ZiggyBuff
I think a lot of it is seeing the golden opportunity the team had to make the playoffs, even after the early season extended losing streak, and management's seeming inability to adjust their plan within the flow of the season. |

Right, being the literal SB favorite going into the season vs being a lottery team every year are totally the same thing. - Wetbandit1

Without Tage, where do you suppose this organization is? Probably hoping for Bedard to be your desperately needed #1 center. There’s luck, and then there’s what the emergence of Tage did for us from an organizational standpoint - SoCalPucks
Tage broke out last year and the organizations response were to draft three centres with consecutive first round picks (Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich).

Ottawa seen the golden opportunity for them also.
Well worked out for them cause they will be picking better in the draft than us. |

All morning long this was the only point being made. I think Ziggy might be KA’s wife or something. |

Centers oftentimes make the best wingers. They also generally have more intrinsic value. Given the situation at the time I think hedging your bets against Tage’s breakout season being a one-off was probably the smart play. Although I do think one of the four 1st rounders should have been a Dman. |

The usage of the 2022 2nd round pick was mind numbing. |

Not true. Multiple points were being made that season was over long ago. Which was also not true. Season still not over.

One guy said that. I apologize for calling you Sparky, and KA’s wife. I was reacting to a couple of posts where you seemed to be screaming at an imaginary person, saying something that no one here was saying. I’m pissed about the way the season is ending. I’m entirely unapologetic about that stance. Feel free to be as positive as you would like, but pretending that there isn’t grounds for some criticism is a non-starter in my book. |

That was puzzling. I don’t know much about prospects beyond the first round, but I can’t understand why you’d reach for a goalie when you have UPL and your alleged franchise goalie Levi in the system already. |

Yep, cause the same thing would have happened here or maybe it actually works! These get better everytime someone brings up a trade that didn't work or hasn't yet because it couldn't work here!! 😄😄😆😆😅😅🤣🤣 |

The “he got injured there so he would have gotten injured here” takes are mind numbingly stupid. Like fate had determined that in this month on that date he was destined to be injured regardless of the circumstances. |

Agree.
Was not happy KA did not get a better goalie prior to the season. Thought with such a young crew it was a mistake.
Expectations were so low for me ( being from 11 years of some of the worse hockey in hockey history ) that still having a .5% of making the playoffs this year is a win in my books.

I’m actually willing to give KA a pass on the goalie because I do believe he genuinely tried to do something about that. He’s going to get another swing at it in the off-season. No excuses this time. |

Sorry i should just be like most on here and be miserable for the whole year.
We make the playoffs and get blown out 4 straight by one the best best hockey teams in the history of the league.
You think the miserable people would be happy that we made the playoffs of be miserable because we got totally destroyed??
I know what i would have my money on. - ZiggyBuff
Yes, 100% be happy to finally make it after 12 years*. Instead they're just extending an NHL record for futility.
People were ecstatic when the Bills broke the drought that most didn't really care that the Jags beat them. Disappointed perhaps, but not like "it's a failure". It's a stepping stone.
*There's always that one guy. |
