The Sabres play scared when the pressure is applied, lack of leadership, muscle and a player friendly coach will do that.

They're one of the youngest team in the nhl and way ahead of Schedule What
The team has done this year is pretty incredible.

Sure they have some issues to fix and that will likely be fixed in the summertime

Players having career years and management failed to support them, yes the youth is promising. Admitting that management had 0 plans to make the playoffs this year is pretty sad.

Assuming it will get fixed over the summer by the group that has failed every season to fill these voids is just a prayer not a plan.

You're acting like the coach and the team folded the tents.

8 game losing streak killed them picasso

You do realize the stategy to make sure levi signed right?

Should feel good about not blocking the new phenom, hard to guarantee Levi signing.....

Same goes for ry-jo.
Need a spot available so he signs and were not stuck with a 3rd rounder instead.

Management never pitched the tent for this season, that's the reality.

Also “way ahead of schedule” is an absolute kick in the face.

Was the plan to be bad this year and get a high pick or try to get bedard, because that’s what it absolutely sounds like.

And this isn't just about Adams, but a team shouldn't have to worry about blocking there prospects to sign them. If the Sabres weren't such a poorly run franchise the last 12trs years it probably isn't.

Ownership knows nothing but losing. The investment into Adams learning corporate talk will pay dividends this summer while they gear up to lose again.

Living a glass half empty to empty must be exhausting

Let’s see if Pegula lets adam make a couple key trades/signings this off-season

My glass half full attitude: it’s nice going into OT and specifically the shootout thinking your team will win cuz your new goalie won’t let you lose

Imagine how perky you will be if the Sabres make the playoffs - youre so accustomed to losing that you have to find little things to enjoy while watching another failed season.

The Sabres could win the cup this decade and people will still be trying to belittle Adams because they never agreed with the hire in the first place.

The Sabres have an elite front office now, enjoy it.

Some already see it, some may notice it a year or two from now, either way better late than never

Gerbes - what’s the off-season plan for Oloffson, Okposo and girgs?

Hate to say it, but with the Sabres it's warranted. 12 years of no playoffs in a sport where half the teams make it is embarrassing.

They need to prove to the fans that they are gong to change. We didn't make the playoffs this year and we're long past moral victories about growth. I don't care if they make trades/signings this offseason either, I care if they make the playoffs. Until that happens, this SHOULD be a glass half empty situation.

As a matter of fact, I would blatantly tell Adams if we didn't make the playoffs next season he would be fired regardless of any excuse.

An elite front office doesn't trade a 2nd, Bloom, Asplund and more for Jordan Greenway and Corey Stillman's washed up kid. Adams has done okay, wins some loses some, but calling him elite with those most resent results is too far of a stretch.

Is agree no excuses/moral victories going forward. Status quo won’t work. I’m in the minority that thinks we don’t need to signs other goalie, but we absolutely need 1 to 2 dman and maybe an upgrade at forward if Okposo, girgs and Oloffson are gone

Your first statement is ridiculous.

Adams and co are so elite their plan this season to fail was close to compromised.

The bar your measuring from is based off of:

Tim Murray and Jason Botterill - you would have to go full moron everyday to be as bad as them.

Mediocrity is not winning. Minor improvements from 10 years of massive failure is not winning.

Win and I'll shut up - everything else is garbage.
