Ullmark and Levi were two completely separate entities.

You can't hinge your future on goalie prospects that are years away.

Ullmark did not receive the term from Buffalo and the allure of playing for a better team was there. It's that simple.

Kevyn has made good moves.

Kevyn has made bad moves.

Kevyn is fully aware the team must take more steps.

my personal opinion, the good has outweighed the bad.

Atleast Adams has a plan

Tim murray was forced into accelerating the rebuild and forcing it

Botts had no clear plan in place

Think Botts somewhat did, he knew he had to draft and fill the coufer a bit. He just made some bad trades and was forced to make some trades because of TM and leaving the cupboards bare.

Well there you go. What else needs to be said? I think we can pack this blog up and go talk politics somewhere.

Botts leveraged the product on the ice for jalapenos in the nachos. The day Terry buckled and was ready to give in, Botts was in a narcoleptic state and missed the call.

You guys have no idea how good the nachos are in Seatle...and how good they taste in the playoffs - which they are in.

Covid and Terry disturbed Botts (slow like Kevyn Adams) rebuild, throwing Krueger into the mix was the spark that lead to the implosion.

What would you look to recieve in a trade for Olo?

Are you using Mitts/Joker in any trades this offseason?

Every year the Sabres have an alcoholic goaltender (a bored rich guy in Buffalo drinking too much, shocking), is Comrie the guy this year?

- washedup20

For Olofsson I'd probably try for a 2nd round pick in this year's draft. I don't think he could pull a useful defensive prospect, but if he could, that would be it.

Mitts has the utility and offensive skill to remain here for at least another season. I'm not afraid to trade him, but I certainly wouldn't do it for 99% of any 2023 draft picks.

I haven't seen signs that the org is writing Savoie or Kulich in marker for their roster next season. Last year Peterka and Quinn both got games, and they both dominated Rochester. They were also D+2. Kulich is only D+1 and isn't dominating like they did, albeit he's doing extremely well for an 18 year old.

Olo is a luxury asset if you feel like calling him that. Casey is I'd say outer core/complimentary. So no, I'm not trading Casey for the sake of trading him, unlike Olo who I feel even when he's scoring, brings little to this team.

Far as Comrie, I have a lot of respect for the man, as I've heard (positive) things about him. But (frank), I don't know how Levi wears an Amerks jersey. You need to make a decision on one of these guys.

What is there to explain ? Sabres made the trade with Florida on July 24th. FA started later that year on July 10th, usually the 1st. Demko,Markstrom, Talbot, Anderson, Ullmark , Vanacek to name a few moved before that trade even Happened. Even if he knew the possibility of a trade already with Florida he sat on it for 2 weeks then before it went down. Seems like he might have been hoping for something better. And even if he wasn't you are telling me he basically threw the Organization in goalie Hell for 2yrs because of a Goalie that looked good at the WJC. He didn't play in school that year because of Broken Ribs, so he hadn't even broke records in College yet. Like I said I hope his Chrystal Ball keeps working.

Good post

Appreciate the explanation.

I think they wanted power and another good high pick. Mini tank while dahoin was still young

Well said,

I would be up selling Edmonton at the draft, imagine Olo tee’ing bombs from McJesus, would be fun to watch. I’d ask for Desharnais.

Mitts has been suitable for the utility role, agreed.

Too much youth in the crease to rotate 3, he is asking for problems if he doesn’t make a move.

Olo should be getting interest from teams that feel their PP is anemic. The trade deadline is where a player like that garners the most value.

I like the free Jost add but he's horrendous on the dot. I was bullish on him for next season but now I have my doubts. I wonder if he becomes the new Vinny, or maybe he's part of the new 4th line. Either way, I'd like them to find someone who can handle themselves in the circle and win important dzone faceoffs.

My thinks is Jost stays, they had an unbelievable year when it came to man games lost, whatever Adams looked at prior this season may be his quietest positive add to the organization. Jost can be the new Vinny.

Does that happen next year? Do the Sabres have the depth to handle?
