I failed - I feel... shame.

Stars vs Wild- I like this Stars team, good depth, experience, goaltending, defense, puck movement, grit, confidence. On the other side with Foligno, Reaves, Hardman will win a few in the alley, corners and netfront. Fluery, Kaprizov, Zuccarello, and really solid depth will make this one of the most entertaining series of them all. Robertson and Ottinger and residue of Bowness defensive teaching will prevail. Stars in six.

Avs vs Kraken - No Landeskog, questions on health of Makar, bled talent from last year due to cap. Still fear that Seattle may ultimately be satisfied just to make the show. I give the Avs one game for Seattle nerves, one for thier own experience, one game for MacKinnes and they split the rest. Avs in six.

We'll see how we match-up:

Bruins over Panthers - 5G (Florida just doesn't have it this season) Tkachul?

Lightning vs Leafs - Leafs in 6 (the Lightning aren't the Lightning, not even Vasilevsky)

Devils vs Rangers - Rangers in 7(Devils one year away, Rangers are ready, goal-tending)

Hurricanes vs Islanders - Canes in 5 - tough, defensive struggle, but Canes prevail)

Knights vs Jets - Jets in 7 - the four "H's - hope, heart, heaven and Hellebuyck!

Oilers vs Kings - Oilers in 6 - Hockey God!

Avs vs Kraken - Avs in 4 - ok, next team for defending champs! Kraken shouldn't even be there

Stars vs Wild - Stars in 7 - without doubt, the hardest series to predict, could go either way. But Dallas #5 on PP, #3 on PK - will make the difference - Wild can't take penalties - think that will happen?

There you have then - 8 sure winners! (but don't wager the mortgage!)

A very quiet board ahead of such a big and important series for this franchise considering the attendance problems.

I see some predictions here on all the various series. For me, I don't really care too much what happens in other series. I cheer for Canadian teams but other than that I really only care about what happens in our series with Vegas.

Vegas's biggest strength is its D. Three excellent Dmen in particular who are going to make things really tough on the Jet's forwards. Jet's have been having a lot of success of late in going to the net. My biggest worry in this series is that these three guys in particular make it a priority to shut this part of the Jet's game right down. Therefore it might be IMPERATIVE that the Jets' have spent more time working on their PP.

I guess if I had one other worry its the return of Stone and Eichel. These two guys could go either wayl They might be cold as ice from lack of game action OR they might be the difference in the series. I say hit them hard and hit them often and see if they gave fully recovered from their injuries. My bet is if the Jets can go 6-7 games, these two will begin to wither, if not sooner.

Go Jets Go. Should be a beauty tonight. Hopefully the mainstays draw a bit from their last series in 2018 and get some payback! It'll be interesting to see if Stone is a factor post back surgery (we know from past experience, he's one hell of a clutch player). We'll see what Eichel has to offer in his first taste of the playoffs as well. The Jets have been in playoff mode for over a month now, so that may be beneficial too. If the Jets continue to drive the net like they have in their past 1/2 dozen games I think they do enough to win the series in 6 or 7.

What a medical miracle! Stone returns just in time for game 1 of the playoffs - when salary cap doesn't count! Who knew?
