Never thought we would see a conclusion to this endless hell that has been the past 11 years.

Palat to McCloud, what a pass!

I still can’t believe we won, WITH Wood in the lineup. But that’s not why. This young group was down 0-2 after dropping those 2 at home.. had to go to a hostile NY crowd and then blew the doors off for 3 straight wins, lost a game decisively, despite a good effort.. and then follows it up with a brilliant game 7.

This young group, that we can officially call a resilient group with heart and guts. To lead the league in comebacks during the regular season is one thing, but not the same emotional stakes as the playoffs, and against the Rangers.

I’m happy for our kids, happy for the vets, happy for Ruff.

Palat earned the overpayment tonight. Marino.. what a play Marino. And the 2 on 1 finish.. but how they played defensively. Just brilliant. And Schmid making some GREAT saves, INCLUDING the glove! The poise and focus of Schmid and the team defensively .. at least from my view at a bar in Freehold.. was beautiful.

I can’t believe these kids pulled it off against that veteran team with some stars still in their primes. Good for our group. They deserve to feel good about themselves. Fire Lindy. He must feel so good. And good for him! Good for all of us!

And now to my 3rd most disliked team.. the Carolina Jokinens.

Not only did we win but we shut them out which has got to be killing them. If you would have said at the start of the year that Schmid would outplay Shesturkey in a game 7 in the playoffs i would've said put the crack pipe down. So much for worrying about his glove because it was a vacuum last night; kid was brilliant! Let's hope he can keep it going.

Anyone know if we have over taken the canes in the standings?

Haula may have frustrated a little in the regular season but he has been big so far and taken his game to another level

Palat had a pretty terrible game 6 and ok before but he was money last night on both the first and third goal

Hopefully Meier is ok

The canes are a different animal as they play with speed and all, may not have Igor but their D is very good

I know they are missing patch and another top player but they are deep

I was a little worried going in not just because it was winnee take all but the rangers have experience with Game 7s and have players that have performed very well in those situations and I believe kreider was 8-1 or something like that in game 7

Kane is known for his playoff games, and while he has lost a step and all, in a game 7 you know that key players try to step up more

Kreider always seems dangerous against the devils

Tarasenko has history of being a playoff performer

And Igor oh man he is a heck of a goalie

No way! We win either 3-2 or 4-2. I think we played well on Saturday (except the penalties) and the puck just seemed to bounce the Rags way. So they took game 6. No worries, I honestly think we're the better TEAM. They may have more star players, but I believe we are the better TEAM. So let's go out and kick some BlueSkirt A$$ tonight! Enjoy the game boys.....I got Carolina on My Mind!

Well I missed on the score, but love the result!

My word for last night's game = TENACITY! They never let up, got to every loose puck and didn't give the Rags any time or space.

Canes are a wounded mess right now.

It'll be a fun series though. All going to be about who gets to their game first and can hem in the opponent. You guys have better firepower, Canes have a better structure.
