Yes unfortunately. - gerbe75pts
One spot in the top 6. One chance to put the finishing touch on this grand plan, and they’re going to blow their wad on an over-the-hill once-was with a skill set similar to what they have in abundance already. Seems like a great idea. |

Yikes - Powerslave
As long as the pk88 contract isn't for more then 2 years, he's an upgrade over olofsson, girgensons, okposo and jost.
Probably krebs and peterka too.
I like both these guys a lot, but pk88 and 3 cup rings... |

Makes for good conversation here for a couple months, but again, let's see what happens before everyone just jumps the gun. The player has to want to come here too.
I wouldn't exactly be a fan of this move, but I don't think they're "blowing their wad" on Kane, if they do bring him in. It's likely a two or three year deal to close out his career. He may even be rejuvenated, coming in here.
If they get their top 4 D, then maybe adding Kane isn't the end of the world. |

If it's the player acting like a douche, however, then what are they supposed to do? What I mean is, maybe it's more than about money. Maybe he feels he should have been guaranteed certain things?
He can go play for the Ontario Reign with Cal and Portillo. - Powerslave
Said the other day he had changed again, weird situation. |

Don't you think ry jo feels like a top 3 defenseman at least, and those 3 spots are filled in this organization?
Probably wants to play 20÷ and the writing is on the wall here in buffalo with the top 3 playing 75 minutes plus. |

Having too many skilled players is an issue ?
And you wonder why I’m a contrarian.
Patrick Kane is not the skill player to acquire, but I fail to see why adding another top 6 skill forward is met with skepticism. |

trading a prospect a few months after signing an entry level contract doesn't help
he could be a sabres player today and a yotes d man tomorrow

I think the hype train is back up and rolling down the tracks, so might as well.
Again, don't hate it, don't love it. Would he help? Heck, yeah. Would he leave the douchebaggery at home and out of the dressing room? |

Couple good points.
Sabres hired Roth with the intention of scoring some local help rejuvenating the arena.
Good team = everyone happy with spending tax $
Great team = new building?

As many have said on here the past few days, where are they all going to play? We don't know why they moved Bloom. Did they see something they didn't like? Was it a numbers game? Everyone has this built-in cynicism nowadays with this club, but it isn't always about incompetece anymore. Adams has put some seemingly pretty smart hockey people around him. |

I agree, cut him in fantasy and picked up boldy a few months ago.
I think power said it, dont hate it... he would come in rejuvenating the franchise to some early must points IMO.

At this point in his career he’s American Olofsson.
Kills you at even strength but piles on the PP points.
I am firmly on the “special teams do matter” train but there are better players available.
Jason Zucker being a good example |

Hence the "some" bit. Tage was very smart to take that deal, Samuelsson would've been an absolute moron to not take the deal, and Cozens probably should've bridged. If you're celebrating "almost made the playoffs after 12 years", you might be a Mickey Mouse organization. |
