No disrespect, but how does one know the weight data is accurate?

I think they try to trade him at the draft. I don't know how much value he has though. Probably a 3rd round pick or package him for a defenseman.
I am just guessing but what value does a one dimensional PP specialist who can't play defense have? Ship him to Vegas so he can play with his buddy - sabresfan69
I am jsut reading (reeding, Reiding) now. I think Olo has a good amount of value actually. He can flat out score goals in this league and that in itself has value, he had more goals that a lot of good players, Debrincat, Debrusk, (the one that shall not be named) Malkin, Couture, Zegras and many others.
I'm not saying he is compared to those, I am just saying he out goaled them all. If you are a team with an average PP unit and need more scoring he is a perfect guy and this year he had 21 goals away from the PP
he has value... |

Good afternoon gents. I thought I would check back in after sitting out the end of the season. This place gets to be too much sometimes.
Has there been any inside word on Johnson? Common sense says that the longer this goes on the more likely we don't get him. |

If olofsson couldn't find his way into our line up with the youngest team in the league and a brand new contract.....
He has some negative value getting paid almost 5 million.
Teams look deeper into #'s then just saying 28 goals.....
Empty netters , 15 goals in 20 games..... ect.

He absolutely has value. The guy went into a bad slump in the second half of the year and then eventually found the press box. I could see a team like Vegas look to get him. He was a perfect winger for Jack in that he knows how to play without the puck.

I'm a olofsson fan, guy couldn't make the lineup on a non playoff team. That doesnt scream value, especially with the contract.
What kind of value are you talking?
1st or 2nd ?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just dont see it IMO.
Guys need to be consistent, to be in the lineup every night. |

“This season, Jeff Skinner (61 even-strength points) became the first Sabres skater since Daniel Briere (65) and Thomas Vanek (62) in 2006-07 to register 60 or more even-strength points in a single season. He is the 11th Buffalo skater to do so at least one time.”
Imagine being Ralph Krueger and ruining one of the best pure offensive players in the league |

Retain half, bundle him up with whatever else it takes to bring in a legit top4 vet defenseman. Take back someone else's garbage for a year if need be too. |

Ryan Johnson wouldn’t feel comfortable if Olo played, haven’t you figured out the organizational motto?

So value is determined based on how a team plays and values a player? We should only want players that were valued highly by another team? By that logic, teams should have been beating down the door for Cody Eakin.
Of course he has flaws. Again, he was scratched because he went into a bad slump at the end. We had a pretty damn good roster going towards the end of the season and our forwards stayed pretty healthy. The guy is a proven goal scorer in the league and is still pretty young. That means *something*. This isn't us trying to pass Risto off on someone else. The guy has accomplished real things in this league (scoring lots of goals).

Kid isn't listening to people you would expect him to listen to. He is making his path harder to the NHL, obviously not FA though. |
