That's asking a lot. Maybe they make the jump, but think Cozens last year, not this year.

Wild there were 4 Sabres on the ice last night that weren't Born yet and 4 more that were a year old or younger the year Anderson was Drafted.

I was a big critic....LOVE seeing him excel and finally contribute in a very positive way.
Granato and Staff have pulled his career out of the abyss and I couldn't be happier.
I think most of his critics wanted the 2017 8th OA pick to develop his NHL game.

Pretty wild what he has done since the New Year hit, he could hit 60pts with a 3pt game against Columbus tonight. Gonna be fun to see what this team looks like out of Camp next year.

Yup, wish him the best.
"Acquiring" a 57 pt player in this, his 5th year is pretty remarkable. Heisduethe credit in putting the work in to resurrecting his career, good on him.
Now, put more work in and tKe the game to the next level!!

He's playing like he did coming out of college, where one of the strongest parts of his game was to stop on a dime, determined to get the puck back if he lost it. And he's only 24.

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three players each team in the NHL should try to acquire through trade.

In this latest episode of the series, we will be focusing on the Buffalo Sabres.

Erik Karlsson: The Sabres could be players in the Erik Karlsson sweepstakes. They have the cap space and assets to get a deal done, and the 100-point defenseman could be the final piece of the puzzle that allows them to be a playoff team again. With that, they need help on the right side of their defensive group, so look for them to pursue him.

Dan Vladar: The Sabres have found something special in goaltender Devon Levi, and he should be their long-term starter because of it. However, goaltending has been an issue for the Sabres all season, and they would be wise to bring in another netminder this summer because of it. With the Calgary Flames having Dustin Wolff, Dan Vladar could be made available and would be a solid 1B option for Buffalo.

Nick Seeler: The Sabres could look to improve their bottom pairing and bring in Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler. Seeler was in the rumor mill as we inched closer to the deadline, but Philadelphia elected to keep him. In 76 games this season, the 29-year-old has four goals, 10 assists, 124 hits, and a plus-1 rating in what has been a breakout year.

I begged people to wait on him and I promised I'd give him 20 games this year, he sucked (5v5 P/60 ranked 269/271 at 0.6). I threw in the towel.

Month later, since December, he's at 2.79 P/60, which ranks 16th in the entire league.

There's no coping in this corner. I'm just sorry I didn't wait it out one more month.

Don't like the Karlsson idea, it doesn't make a lot of sense for many reasons. Anyone who wants to bring the "get good players", I'll be happy to share my thoughts.

Vladar is a cool idea. Goalies are voodoo and I'm about done yelling about targets cause they're just as likely to suck as they are to be good. Varlamov has recent success individually and so does Vladar. He, like Carter Hart, kept a bad team afloat when he played. He's young, fits the timeline, low cap. Good move. Considering they have Dustin Wolf, I don't think they'd want UPL in return. Wonder if a 2nd round pick gets it done.

Nick Seeler seems like a smart idea, but I also feel like we'd start collecting bottom pair defensemen. I liked him a lot before Stillman arrived. Unless Stillman or Loob is part of the return, the move doesn't make a lot of sense. I'd rather aim higher, I don't have the confidence that Seeler could be a #4. He was strong in the minutes he played, played with a much lower class of teammate than his competition. Interesting.

Really makes it interesting with what the line Combinations could turn into. Hopefully Greenway shows up with more than a Purse next year.

Could be several reasons for that.

He's unsure. They're unsure. They haven't had the "talk" yet.

Love his heart, his pride, the way he took to putting this culture change on his back and led the way.

His legs just don't do the things they used to, and he was never fleet of foot.

If you bring him back as, say, the 13th forward, he can't be the captain. You need your captain on the ice. So then, how can you remove the 'C'? That doesn't seem like a Meatballs or even Adams type move.

I'd really like them to aim high for both the Cozens winger in your layout and the top 4 (maybe top 2) defender.

It's nice that they're turning clunkers into cash, so to speak, with finding players like Jost and Stillman, but it's time to go bigger in terms of targets, and look to bring in another high impact forward and defenseman.

lot of paths this can take. If Adams was prepared to let Kyle go, we'd know by now. I won't write off the possibility, but I'd bet against it. Kevo is a deep thinker and highly prepared with things like this.
