Wouldn’t that be 3 for this management group and that’s with a year of Kruger stank…

Yes, ownership has crapped the bed. But Adam’s, Ventura, karmanous are really only 2 years…

- Gr8daygo

Does it matter, who ever is in charge will always take the heat. Especially as long as it has been. Things are looking like the Sabres have a very good future ahead of them. Still though the Sabres could end up 1 win from the playoffs. And yes the player's could have played better in certain games, but Management could have tried a bit Harder in Nov.- Dec. When are Defense was hurting with injuries to help them. Could have meant that extra win or 2 more tied games. Everyone new the goaltending was a huge ? mark and it killed us in a lot of games.
It was a fun year, alot of good growth and development. Team looks to have a potential Powerhouse on there hands. Important Offseason ahead.

or at any point in the last 2 years. So many of their moves extend through next year, tells you their mindset.

True, but trying to move forward. Really want to see how Adams handles this offseason. If Okposo is resigned, then I think we will have some answers about next year.

The only way krebs has a future in Buffalo is if Tage/Cozens/Mitts/Savoie get hurt and they need a fill in.
- washedup20

I disagree, the harborcenter rink guard handpicked krebs in the eichel trade, in addition to targeting hometown hero tuch.

Krebs has a long shelf life. IMO. KA just acquired him 100ish games ago.

He's gonna take the next step, he's just small and young for the nhl currently.

Sorry to say to the Captain but if they do bring them back. Girgensons should be the one to stay. Atleast he can still skate somewhat. As much as that pains me to say.
- Buff36

Girgensons week starts tomorrow FYI.

I'd rather keep girgs as well.

I think okposo is gonzo.... not buying the hype.

He got pretty emotional the other day, seems like his days are limited. Just an opinion.

Girgs 2 years 5 million.

I'm happy, your kinda happy, uncle ionlightning = not happy.

Agreed. They should have done something in December. Interesting to think if something like the Bear move could have been the difference.

I certainly put this season on them. They could have and should have done a bit more.

Not being flexible in the plan could be a problem.

I am also not putting the past 12 years on them. That falls squarely on Kim and Terry.

Now let’s see what the can kicker has in store this offseason.

I expect…

Dahlin extension
Levi/UPL/Comrie (why, I have no idea)
One of Gus or Oko.
Maybe another 6/7 d man

I’d rather see…

Swing for a top 4d
1 a/b goalie
Some bottom 6 sandpaper

Dahlin 8 years at whatever
Gus and Oko not extended
Joker can go
Olo can go.
Bryson can go

If Jost is the extra forward and Stillman the 7th, Adam’s may have done something right.

Decisions Decisions Decisions. Let's see what they have in store for us. We could learn there position early if we hear something more on Okposo.

In regards to snickerdoodle, I really cant figure out whether they are playing him 1st line center :

A) up trade value
B) see what he has before giving him a long term deal

I think it's B. The organization I feel absolutely loves him.
He's besties with dahlin and fits the vibes to a tee....

I'm looking at an eye popping 5 for 24 type deal.
Olofsson's 4.75ish per

Maybe 6 for 30...

Any thoughts on his next contract?

Lun are you out there?

I think thirtysixensons is referring to how soon the organization makes a decision on okposo.

I wonder if he does retire, do the Sabres actually hand out a "C" or have some kind of rotation until a real leader stands up?

Seems like dahlin and his contract negotiations lead me to believe he's next, but tuch and cozens also show some strong signs.

Maybe the Sabres name all 3 'A' s and rotate per game?

Okposo played an ok game. I'm 50/50 on a return

Penguins sh1t-canned their front office.

Wonder why.

- TheSabresTaco

Ventura leaves and all of a sudden the arrow points up on Buffalo and Pittsburgh manages to waste Crosby and Malkin.

Coincidence 🧐

Dylan Cozens turned into a high end 2C.

Casey has elite playmaking ability which makes him a solid middle 6 option and complements the forwards we have on the roster quite well.

They should definitely look to extend him cause whether he’s on the wing or in the middle he’s proven to be useful

Well IMO if they sign Girgensons 1st there's a chance he's the only one brought back. If Okposo signs 1st it makes me think both will be back and we won't see a few youngsters added to the forwards group. I am really hoping Greenway picks it up next Camp, he throws a wrench in things to if all he brings is his Purse again.

It’s honestly disturbing some of the tweets I see celebrating this season as some sort of massive success.

We’re going to be an excellent team. It’s going to happen.

It could’ve happened this year too

- sbroads24

I don’t see why it’s some massive failure either though just because they didn’t break the drought to play an extra week and a half of hockey.

The answer probably lies somewhere in the middle

Mitts takes over oko’s $6 mill per.

Oko takes mitts’ $2.5 on a 1 year. It should be $1 mill. But vibes….

Is next year a success if they get in and play an extra week and a half of hockey?
