KO says he's going to take some time and think about the future.

Thinks veteran leadership is important but that "it's their team now" (meaning the youngins).

Good post

My "insider" has been saying dumba for the past few weeks.

All.in good fun 🤝

It was fun, I hope you know as much as I rip on Girgensons, he's a solid team guy. He would have no shortage of offers if he doesn't come back.

Yeah, actually heard Dumba's name at the TDL. His skating would fit. Your source has been good to you.

Being forced to play a pair of 4th liners every night did them no favors.

Scratching Jost + JJ, then losing to Philly was a real low point for them. When one more win gets mentioned, that's the game to me.

Yeah, there was a few. Washington they had a 4-1 lead in the 3rd and lost 5-4 in overtime. Think they had 4 or 5 games they had the lead in the 3rd and ended losing points on. I don't know I have been saying for a bit the Sabres don't have to roll a conventional 4th line anymore. Especially starting next year.

Adams says our team gets bullied. Seems Swedish Jesus disagrees and toughness douesn't matter in the NHL.

Most important off-season in a decade.

Olo gone?

Joker gone or slide to bottom pair?

Does the interest in a top 6 F signal that Savoie WILL BE returning to junior for one more?

To me, if they bring in a top 4 D and top 6 F, that tells me that it's definitely playoffs or bust, regardless of what they do regarding the 4th line.

- Powerslave

Why is it not playoffs or bust next season, regardless of the moves they make?

They can't continue deprioritizing the most important aspect of the sport (making the playoffs).

Sure they can. Just ask anyone in this thread. In fact, some will argue that by making certain moves, they'll show "they don't care about it" .

Actually it was Adams the GM of the sabres.

Do you know who he is? By your quote you seem kind of oblivious.

Since you taking a shot at suburban dads lets talk a shot at swedes.

No wonder you think softness doesn't matter when Sweden is in shambles.

Talent wins hockey games.

Sometimes talent gets beat by puck luck and a hot goalie like in New Jersey last week.

It’s really that simple.

A few more saves from UPL/Comrie in the first quarter of the season or a little bit of puck luck in Florida and New Jersey and the Sabres are still playing hockey.

The last thing I think of is toughness when thinking of the Colorado Avalanche last year and those Penguins cup teams.

Who signs 1st Johnson or Dahlin……..and where do they sign?
- washedup20

Johnson is not signing here. if he really wanted to be here he would have signed and played in some games. IMHO is is going the free agent route.

9 of the bottom 11 teams in hits this year made the playoffs (Buffalo would have made 10)

2 of the top 10 teams in hits thrown this year made the playoffs (one of them being the Isles).

Score goals, save goals.

Hits and being tough to play against are different things, we are neither. Don't have to lead in Hits to be tough to play against

Yes. Which is why you stake out absurd positions based on flawed premises for the sole purpose of satisfying some personal need to be contrarian.

Yet most can’t wait for the day Zemgus Girgensons never wears a Sabres jersey again.

Doesn’t hit much, wish he had more offensive touch, but is literally the ideal bottom 6 forward.

On a team not flush with younger players that could take that spot. Some of are good young prospects are going to have to start in the bottom 6, we just have to many not to. And there's more coming

Why wouldn’t you want a smaller, softer but more talented player to take his spot?
