Do I think they could? Yes.

But do I or anyone here know what this team would do in the playoffs? NO. Cause I and all of you haven't seen them in the playoffs.

8 of the top 10 hitting teams missed the post season. 4 of the bottom 10 teams in hits per game played last night, and had a ton of hits. It's almost like the regular season hit counts have zero correlation to the playoffs.

I do know in our last playoff series, the flyers took it to us and if not for a couple of gems by miller we would have been bounced in 5 games in that series though

Top 10 hitting teams in the league, 2 made the playoffs and 1 is the Islanders

7 of the bottom 10 hitting teams made the playoffs.

So again, “hitting” is a stat that is just representative of a play style. A play style that everyone understands is “playoff hockey” and thus the ability to play both a skilled and gritty game is valued. The argument you’re presenting seems awfully “Swedish” to me. Whether the Sabres can play that type of game has yet to be seen, you’re right about that.
