Adams said today they're sticking to the plan. Exact words.

Now, maybe their plan is to upgrade the D (as they were rumored to be trying to do at the deadline, yes?).

They were also rumored to be asking on Meier. Do they want a top 6 F? Two or three "Insiders" on here say they do/did.

- Powerslave

That's fine, same thing said last off-season.

I gave you a hard time about a few trades. One of the many you suggested should have got us an extra point or 2.

I'm not sure if anyone expected such a strong finish or levi being a phenom.

Also, the tank angle for a slim % of bedard seems very Sabres. At least going in to the season. It was predicted nationally.

- Boss34

They had a chance in December January February to help a part of there team hurting with injuries and did nothing. Even if it was only a few points we are still in the playoffs. Fantastic about Levi, still screwed the team for 76gms.

I tend to agree with you, but after an 8 game losing streak without a loser point, nobody makes the playoffs.

It's a fact. (Maybe) 🤔

I did read that most teams come in last or 2nd last after 8 game pointless streaks.

Sabers wanna win a Stanley Cup not just make the playoffs.

Which is completely different than every other team in the entire league where they only wanna make the playoffs and don’t care about a cup.

4D chess

- ImThatGuy

There was an interview with Jakub Voracek recently where he said he knew, and guys in the room knew, that year in and year out that the Flyers didn’t have enough depth to win a cup.

So yes, in a league where half of the teams make the playoffs, if it’s an embarrassment not to make it at all, why is it such an accomplishment to just make the playoffs ?

Granato said it best, everyone who doesn’t win the cup has work to do and a goal to achieve.

Won’t be any different for Buffalo then it will be for the 8 teams that will be golfing with them in the next week and a half

Nashville lost all of its core players from 4-6 years ago

Washington is super old, so is Pittsburgh

Florida, Tampa, and Boston will all still have elite stars in their primes

- sbroads24

Time will tell.

Florida is definitely a wagon, they may have finished 2nd or 3rd in the Atlantic if they found Alex Lyon 20 game earlier.

Tampa and Boston are running out of runway, and it might not be as soon as next year, but you can see the cracks starting.

Are you talking after we are perennial playoff team, or after the accomplishment of making the playoffs after 12yrs. There's a difference, let's make the playoffs.

The Leafs are tied with Boston for longest active playoff streak at 7 years.

I got buddies who didn’t bother watching half of the Leafs’ regular season games this year.

One buddy is currently in Mexico with his wife and booked the trip knowing the Leafs would be in the playoffs right now, not even bothering to watch. He’ll watch them if they get past the first round this year.

Perception is in the eye of the beholder I guess right.

I can understand a bit of what there saying, but as Sabres fans we should not even have that as a thought process. Let's get in the playoffs first and worry about the 7yrs later. Adams still has work to do

That's fine and Dandy they trusted him the last few games. Maybe if they help there team earlier in the year when it was needed they could be trusting him IN the Playoffs.

Amerks site has him at 155.
Curious, where's that 175 coming from?
Usually team pages overplay the height and weight stats.

And their rebuild went about as clean as it could have.

They haven’t been able to put it together for various reasons since.

Maybe this year is their year, time will tell

Watching these playoff games I can't see how the Sabres would win a series against these teams. The current Sabres team could not handle the physical play

Palat left last offseason, probably won’t be able to retain Killorn this go around.

Stammer had a good year but will be another year older.

Hedman lost a step this season (although I know most will disagree).

No picks or prospects but nothing good will last forever.

They will have some retooling to do.

Maybe not, it would be more about learning gaining experience on what it takes.

Only a matter of time before we go from complaining about the drought to complaining about early playoff exits.

31 GM’s this offseason will have to go back to the drawing board at the end of the day this offseason to see what moves they can make to get a parade next year
