They outshot the Rangers 28-23 in Game 1. Shesterkin won his team the game, Vanecek lost his team the game.

Game 2 they put 21 shots on net and I figure being short handed 7 times had something to do with that.

We’ll see what the rest of the series brings.

New Jersey was #1 in the league in expected goals for in the regular season.

They're 13th out of 16 playoff teams through two games.

That’s understandable for a later round pick, plenty of euro’s come over and adjust accordingly. It was a terrible pick at 14 that fills no holes for when he is ready to play. The notion he was drafted to be traded is silly.

Nylander got the Sabres Joker, IMO Rosen will never make the Sabres or bring anything significant to the club.

- washedup20

I think you brought up a couple good points.

Another small euro forward with effort issues. Committed players shouldnt have to work thru any effort issues , ever....

Still young and guys grow late sometimes...

Still have to agree, risto wasnt getting you a 14th pick in a " good" draft. Wyatt is the only better player currently.

Some people suggested exposing risto over borgen, you aren't getting anything significant in return IMO.

well it's too bad that was the pick. I'm sure you're perfect... Dont have any idea what your issue is with Adam's perhaps because he has patience and you have none..
The sabres are going to be a very good team going forward but yeah Adams sucks... that seems so Logical. because Adams is going to do it the way he thinks it should be done... it's the bast team we have had in 12 years but you female dog on moan about Adam's like he is Tim Murray, again seems logical.

Jameson takes full responsibility for his actions and is very apologetic to the NFL, his teammates and the fans and city of Detroit," Alliance Sports said. "However, it is important to note that Jameson's violation was not for betting on football but rather due to a technical rule regarding the actual location in which the online bet was placed -- and which would otherwise be allowed by the NFL outside of the club's facility. Jameson would never intentionally jeopardize the integrity of the game he loves so much and looks forward to getting back to his team as soon as possible."

Any NHL GM afraid of a single hockey player is not an elite GM, bookmark this as well.

McDavid tells oilers ownership fire the gm or I'm sitting out until I'm traded.

GM is getting fired.

I think your missing on this one. Especially if levi is what he appears to be, a phenom.

You’re right, they got fed their lunch last night.

Shesterkin held the fort in Game 1 and was the reason they won that game

My back reading goes by a lot faster since I stopped reading all the posts from one individual poster.

This site desperately just needs a “block” function. I’m not sure which poster you’re referring to. One is unnecessarily petty and mean, the other its legitimately like arguing with a turnip. You might be referring to a third suspect though?

The high danger chances are pretty even. That being said the devils have not adjusted and the rangers have. Devils are a transition team. They have not been successful playing another style yet. The Rangers defense has been way better than in the regular season against that attack.

I agree with this sentiment.

Series has been even and the difference really was goaltending in Game 1 on both sides of the equation giving the Rangers the second win in Newark.

Good Post!! I agree with adding elements. How will we know if the Sabres are built the right way, until they play a post-season game. That's why making it this year could have been so beneficial to the Sabres.
- Buff36

The boys gotta find out what it’s like in the playoffs. I think they learned some valuable lessons this year during the playoff push about how the intensity rises. Would’ve been nice fro them to see how during playoffs it ratchets up even more.

Bs/Panthers is getting chippy, looks like it is going to be a battle from here on
I missed all of this yapping back and forth between the benches watching the local feed.

Speaking of…. Rumor was he was available at the deadline. Do you think he’s going to be available in the offseason? If so, would he fit the top 4 and what would you have to give up to get him?

Nah, olofsson is not going to bring back a good return.

The Sabres were starting rookies and benching him at the most important time of the year.

Olofsson absolutely played himself off this team .

His value took a huge hit, teams notice healthy scratches and also teams notice a high scoring offense like ours , could be a bit deceptive. (Ie donnie the center whisperer and a guy like mitts).

You didnt answer, but a 2nd rounder seems fair and we may need to eat salary to move olofsson.

Maybe take a break again with your cody eatkids take 😀

* 7 goals in 115 games as a Sabres player for eakin.

700 games nhl played and similar goal production to olofsson in 200. You have some kind of point?

- Boss34

This is a speculation... Jeff Skinner was healthy scratched a bunch of times. Players get scratched for all sorts of reasons.

we all thought Risto had no value and look what happened. All it takes is one team to deem that Olo has value.

So hard to Catch everything, flipping back and forth. Every series has been chippy.
Think the Sabres learned alot the last 20gms or so. They definitely changed their style a bit trying to adapt. Playoffs would have really been a Eye Opener.

No, I would not Boss, other than Kulich he might have been Rochester's best player since January. I would have found a different way to have kept Borgen. He would be a very good partner for Power.
