Only one QB has ever had success after age 40. Tom Brady.

Drew Brees could barely get to 3000 yards a season after age 40.

I’d imagine Rodgers goes the Brees route than the Brady.

Id also like to think if Rodgers is still an elite level QB GB doesn’t move him and take on a 90 mil dead cap.

The Bills handled the Pack pretty easily last year with Rodgers. Outside of a massive implosion from the offense in the second half.

Until the Jets prove me wrong, I won’t consider them a true threat.

- ImThatGuy

OK, and the Pack weren't exactly a power house. We shall see but Rodgers will definitely have a better supporting cast around him in NY.

Olofsson has value to some teams, noted earlier are those who feel they need more scoring and already decent on the defensive side. Not all teams need the same thing.

Buffalo has no trouble scoring, and has a F prospect pool brimming over with talent
, and conversely bare at the D position. Their System is not structurally good defensively at this point. Good thing is several F prospects are good defensively with a strong 2 way game.

He'll have value to someone.

- IonSabres

Now he has value, when you've trashed olofsson his entire career?

Value = 2nd rounder if we pay part of his salary.

If you ain't playing for a team that just paid you big $ during a playoff race, your value sucks.....

Ricky,

Give me the (frank)in Glengarry leads.

Look at the posters who think Jets adding A-Rod aint no thang, then look at their track record of football takes.

ESPN
"Is rodgers the best qb in the AFC east"

Village idiot on hockeybuzz
"Glad they got that washed up 39 year old"

Good post.

Unfortunately, the timing here is just terrible. If we know they need to move him, so does every GM. I'll be impressed if they get value here. I don't think a buyout is out of question.
- Lunaion

I agree with this post and like olofsson.

Who's gonna want a streaky soft swede making almost 5 million?

That's not value.......

Take out the empty netters ect , I really feel like greenway and his 15-18 goals is a huge upgrade. Via size and toughness.

I’d say 90% of the Jets fanbase thinks they overpayed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree they overpaid, still doesn't change that Rodgers could make them a dangerous team.

Which I don’t think a 40 YO QB, who when he falls will fall fast, regardless of his storied career does that.

I still have the Bills out in front by a decent margin.

The AFC east is a gauntlet schedule allegedly.

Pats hardest
Bills 2nd hardest
Jets I think 6-7 hardest.
Not sure where the dolphins stand.

If I were NYJ I’m using the assets to trade up to 3 where AZ desperately wants to get out of and taking another rookie.

Rodgers is a HOf QB, no doubt. Doesn’t changes the fact that Father Time catches everyone eventually.

I’d take my chances with Stroud,Levis or Richardson over Rodgers at this point in his career.

I tend to agree, but obviously the Jets think otherwise. Rodgers was bad last year, but if the Rodgers from 2yrs ago comes back, the AFC East got tougher.

It is amazing how you eventually come around on players after taking the opposite take for years ad naseun...Sam, Risto, even Jack, now Olo.
It is like a light switch.
Why is that?

He has never had 15 goals.
It is a stretch-goal for him to achieve that in the future. If he played with more jam I do think he could get close.

Hopefully a off-season of healing and training will bring that out. If he doesn't could be a big miss, especially with giving up that 2nd.

What are you talking about.

Loved jack, now dislike him
Loved risto , still like him
Hated sam, still hate him and he's validating my opinion every game. Complete kasper act. 3 of 4 games.
Liked olo, still like olo. But like other players better now.

You've been bashing olo for years, 28 goals proves my point not yours btw

4 goals in 17 games as a sabre last year for #12.

That more then Paces 15 next season

I really feel like he's olofsson's replacement, not a 4th liner.

Donnie loves #12. Of course you wont bet me....

15 goals injury or no injury 🤝
Nhl Sabres or otherwise...

Hopefully Granato can unlock it, but he's been in the league what 5 or 6yrs know. I will take him bringing more than his purse. He needs to be that physical edge.

And have already said he had a bad year, didn't exactly have a supporting cast around him. Maybe he is losing it, but 1bad year doesn't take away the 6yrs before it. We shall see, definitely gonna have more options on the Jets.

I'm not saying #12 is gonna goon up the place, just be much more difficult to play against then olofsson.

Minimum, just make sure you can handle yourself and at 6 5' he can definitely play individually tough. Not need protection hopefully. Especially in the playoffs.

I'm not 100% sold on #12, but he should pace 15 goals under donnie's system and fist pounding.

Divison opponent upgrades the most important position in sports.

I'm not sure why anyone would be happy if they are a Bill's fan. Maybe confused?

Jets have a good d and skilled position players.....

Bad news IMO

guess you have no faith in the bills

I see this as a 1 or 2 year window for the jets now, vs a much longer window if they had hit on a qb

and I see rodgers as a much worse qb now vs a few years ago, like history shows with any qb approaching 40

maybe you need to watch montana's last game vs the bills as a chief

or the last year of favre, brees, p manning, rivers, big ben, marino, matt ryan, etc, etc, etc
