I have a feeling that Vegas may tie the series tonight. The Jets though will win games 3 & 4. Eventually taking the series at home in 6!

Go Jets Go!!!!

Last night's game was a great example of what I mentioned earlier about puck luck, some questionable calls by the refs, and some lucky deflections. They all went the way of the Golden Knights last night. It gave Vegas a chance to be in the game and that was all they needed to ride the momentum and the crowd.

I’m an Adam
Lowry fan, he is a good bottom 6 player and a great team guy, But when he’s your best player, you have an issue!!!
There were a lot of bad,
Lazy players last night but Shiefele takes the cake. His laziness, I clearly don’t care attitude has run it’s course. Two minute shifts, half ass Checking was on full display. I will not spend another second listening to anything this guy says, his bags are clearly already packed and He doesn’t want to be here. Grant the man his wish and find him a new home before the draft.
Someone who does no wrong in his own mind and doesn’t take Responsibility for his poor play, can play somewhere else

100%!!! Not sure if it is possible to "extend and trade" before the draft or not? But regardless, got to go!

And now Morrissey is done for the rest of the game, yikes! 😳

Edit: Bowness confirmed in the post game presser that Morrissey is done for at least the rest of the first round, thats a massive blow.

Damn, that's a heartbreaker..

Lots of hockey to go, really need to win the next one obviously, doubt this group has the fortitude to come back from a 3-1 deficit.

Man, a real gutsy effort tonight. Can't fault anyone!

Stand proud Jets! That's hockey!

Watched my first game in a month or so, very entertaining game, but a heartbreaker.

I guess Stanley is next up, maybe he can slam some VGK players and softened them up.

Vegas seems to have this puck luck going for them, someone needs to run the net. Time to get nasty!

I can’t wait to see if Ehlers plays this series and how long he can last without being re-injured.

Unfortunately, I was unable to watch the 3rd period and OT's....but it is becoming clearer and clearer as to who we want back next season.

Awesome for Lambert! This should give the kid some confidence!

Ok, I will bite on who we want back, but I am thinking Adam Lowry is top of the list, top of my list anyways. Who else do you feel should be back next season?

Lowry, Dillon, DeMelo, Morrissey, Barron, Connor, Samberg, Stenlund, Namestnikov,
Niederaiter, Perfetti.
Appleton, Pionk, Schmidt - too much money
Wheeler, Dubois, Scheifele - complete disappointments
Riddich - we can do better than him for a backup
Ehlers - the jury is out....maybe too injury prone
Helly - debatable
Melanainenen, Fjalby, Gus - all replaceable.
Stanley, Heinola - time to move on
Harkins - give him a shot next season

I'll abstain right now from talking about who needs to be replaced until the Jets officially either are eliminated from the playoffs OR win the Cup. Until that time a lot of opinions can change one way or the other.

Fantastic effort for all the Jets last night but once again that puck luck thing bit them in the ass. To the Hockey Gods.....can we also just get a few breaks once in a while?

Reading they might go 11F/7D, seriously wtf is this Ehlers injury, this organization is weird, wouldn't be surprised if Ehlers isn't even injured and Bowness is just keeping him out of the lineup cause he isn't a Bones type player.

I agree with this. It’s way too soon to say who is and is not a disappointment. I have never been more proud to be a Jets fan than I was yesterday. The team showed lots of fight and came back from 3 goals down in the 3rd. It’s unfortunate that we had some bad puck luck, otherwise this series could have easily been 2-1 Jets.

The only real disappointment on this team is the GM. Did not do enough to provide support to the players that have given their prime years to this Franchise.

Otherwise GO JETS GO!!!!

I'll also abstain - for now.

I do think that all current or pending UFA's or RFA's after next season, need to either be extended or dealt.

You don't want to go into a situation at the trade deadline next year where you are fighting for your playoff life, and have to make a decision, "do they stay of do they go"?,(without compensation).

You can't let valuable players walk for nothing in return! (Scheifele, PLD, Hellebuyck, NN, DeMelo, Vladdy, Dillon, etc). Hopefully we can re-sign some of these guys - excluding Scheifele)

If you think the Jets might have some changeover over the next year and that we are in some bad situation then take a look at the Leafs and you will feel much better.

If the Leafs don't win the Cup this year then they are likely a franchise that will be in serious decline. Tons of UFA's after season end and Matthews and Nylander one yr left. They also have only one 1st round pick in the next three years , and no seconds.

Yes, agree the Leafs are in much the same/more trouble than we are.

The one difference I see here is that the Leafs have more success, for whatever reason, in attracting UFA's, and keeping potential RFA's. Probably easier to rebuild on the fly, I would think. Lot of Ontario kids want to play in TO!

Like you say though, we have more high end draft picks in the next few years which is a credit to our management. It is a necessity for small market teams that are not on the coast or sunny south to keep their high draft picks going forward.

Agreed, which is why Chevy doesn't tend to trade away draft capital at trade deadline time. Winnipeg is a tough destination to rebuild through free agency. The only good caveat this summer is the number of quality centers available is almost non-existent except for maybe Cirelli. High caliber centers will command a nice premium .

Terrible loss to have one of the best Dmen in the league out for the series, especially on something which didn't look that bad . Obviously a small MCL or ACL tear in the kneee and those do take time to heal . Yes, you can skate but the power is mostly gone and the stability for sure. One bad knock and a few weeks can turn into 6 months or more.

Bring on Capobianco. Now Samberg has proven himself, this guy is my next-up choice to crack the Jets lineup on a regular basis.

Cirelli was extended to a long term deal by Tampa awhile ago.

Big Logan is drawing into the lineup on the 3rd pair with Samberg, not sure if they'll go with 11F/7D and Capobianco will play too, heard they may go that route, guess we'll see come gametime.
