He is.
Palmieri with 4 points
Pulock, Mayfield and Nelson with 3
Pelech, Cizikas, Dobson with 2
everybody else 1 or less - BINGO!
Defense wins championships and Rod has the Boys buying in.

This. I’ll also say what is Lambert supposed to do? Shuffling the deck is going to unlock some unrealized offense with these guys? I have my doubts with that one. - Cptmjl
This is all he has left to do. Team is down 3-1. Might as well try something. No such thing as panic when down 3-1. |

Pretty much anything that could be tried has been the last couple of months. Our issues are symptomatic of under performing players. These guys are just playing like garbage for the most part. Besides a pep talk I don’t see Lane being able to do anything what that. |

The only issue with Lambert and the rest of the coaching staff is their inability to adjust on the fly with respect to the PP. All year we watched the same drop pass to Barzal to gain the zone and it’s simply being stopped at the blue line. The isles success has come from getting pucks deep and out working their opponents. That PP should be the same. Get the puck deep and use the extra man to win the battle and get it to the open man. It’s tough to watch PP after PP with no real threat. |

Their lack of speed hurts in trying to retrieve the puck. Coach after coach has not been able to fix the problem. It's a personnel issue.

Boychuk is taking the ice with #Isles this morning.
At this point, I'd take a blind Boychuk over Aho or Dobson |

Maybe it's frustrating, but I sort of get it: These are the guys who are supposed to get it done. Barzal is the man. Horvat was brought in to finally be the trigger man that Barzal had been lacking. Lee is the leader. If there are three players who need to go out there and carry the team to victory, it's them. It's nice if other players contribute, but those guys need to lead the charge. - UIF
100% agree.
To be fair Barzal is not Barzal since returning from the knee injury. Now that said you can’t take credit away from the Canes in neutralizing him and his line.

Yeah. Plus the Canes are pretty good at slowing down the opposition on dump ins. |

In fairness the Islanders are too slow to retrieve the puck after a dump in with most teams. |

Their entire game is dump and grind. Surely they can find success with a man advantage |
