He probably will improve over time but Cozens has been bad defensively. His reputation as a 2 way C hasn't really come to fruition in impacts. He actually was pretty sloppy in the D zone this year

He improved in most of his Stats, including Defensively. Even his Face/off percentage improved but still needs work. Guy didn't always have set linemates. Definitely work to be done.

I'm hoping just girgensons for another season.

Tuch
Tage
Jost
Krebs

And I would be looking to replace Tage and Krebs from that lineup this summer.

Gotta cover guys one on one , generally with tough offensive matchups.
Easy to get burned and noticed vs top talent.

Are you implying that Girgs and Okie can actually skate against other teams top lines? Look I have enjoyed Okie being here but we don't have any room on this team for a slow forward way past his prime. I let Girgs, Okie go if I can sign Tyler bertuzzi to say 4 years @6.5 large and Jost for 4 years 3.25 Large.

Then I would play a line of Bertuzzi, Jost and Greenway as my shut down line. They would play a heavy game and can potentially score you 50 goals combined.

Your forgetting the small market budget factor with your payments.

I think jost is average, but our system makes him look good. Just an opinion. I would not pay him 3+ or 13 million under any circumstances.

Making him play for free might actually be an over payment. Make him a development coach or something and let lion test the market. If he wants to come back at 1.457 then fine.
