Leafs had two power plays in the first five minutes or so, and a quick 2-0 lead. The game was pretty even after it got back to 5v5 and FL started chipping away. They “fell asleep” as FL pounced on them and forced turnovers, and then buried them (while @5v5). Toronto did take it to them as they desperately tried to tie the game later in the second and in the third. - Ratsreign
Florida is still allowed to play hockey and not get steamrolled with a one goal lead. You do understand that right ?
Carolina didn’t seem to get the memo that you are allowed to get your teeth kicked in once you take a one goal lead and hang on for dear life |

Just quit while you’re ahead, bro.
Your initial proclamation about it all was off, way off. Nice kick saves and beauty deflections as you switch gears and boldly prattle on. |

Just saying, Florida is a damn good hockey team but they are very fortunate to be up 2-0 right now.
Can’t apologize for winning hockey games, and I’d love nothing more than to see the Leafs get swept, but that’s the truth.

he’s gonna be a politician one day. He replied to me with that whole spiel while never once addressing any of the points which I made to him. - Ratsreign
He’s incapable of nuance, or logical consistency. It’s so bizarre. He’ll start with a false premise that’s only tenuously related to anything you said, and then literally flip-flop his entire argument once he’s losing. All while being completely unaware that he’s doing it. He also genuinely thinks we don’t know he’s posting on two accounts.

Pegullaville was my only other account, I stop posting on it due to the fact that the Sabres hadn’t made the playoffs since the inception of the account and I’m superstitious.
But hey you know everything there is to know about everything.
The irony being that my supposed “alt” I’ve argued with constantly over the years. |

The Hurricanes were wire to wire arguably the best team in hockey this year.
Boston and Carolina were tomatoe tomato.
The series isn’t over yet by any means, but losing to Carolina is not by any means something to be ashamed of.
Special teams and goaltending. Carolina has had the upper hand in both so far this series.
Ditto Florida, they have been run over at 5v5 the first two games but their PK has killed off 7/8 PP’s and Bobrovsky has saved 4 goals over expected.
But thank you for proving my point. - Swedish_Jesus

Again this is just oversimplified.
There’s so much more than “Oh Bob’s been great, that’s hockey”
Florida flipped the ice after going down 2-0 early and started to dominate until they took the lead. They very well could’ve folded and let the Leafs score the next goal and ultimately let it get away |

Thank you.
I have been thinking the exact same thing since the very beginning of the Run/Stop the Run argument years ago.
Every time it comes up, I smile...in between frowns.
We all lean one way or another, to be so absolute when the evidence is equally as strong for arguments on other factors. |

Every other year there’s the “model team” teams emulate
The dynasty teams like the Lightning, Blackhawks or Penguins are/were well rounded with a mix of everything you could think of |

I think the Panthers went through stages emulating each of the three as they puttered around with building/rebuilding roster. Starting with Tallon and his Chicago blueprint. Then computer boys wanted to be like Pittsburgh. Zito goal has been building a team that could take out the Bolts. |

Kinda like Beaner building a Team to take KC out. Want to see what Adams does and what he thinks is needed to take out the Eastern Conference |

97 is eating Vegas soul, I don’t believe there is is another player in any sport that looks this much better than everyone else.
In a league of his own. |

Amerks up 1-0 at the end of the 1st
Kozak with his 2nd of the playoffs
Rosen picked up a assist
Kozak could turn into a good 4C
Nadeau Kozak Rousek could be intriguing in a few years if Jost isn't signed to a multi year. |

If you don’t think trading Huberdeau for Tkachuk wasn’t an analytics driven move then idk what to tell you.

Think is was more Tkachuk saying where he wanted to go and Florida finding Cap space to keep Tkachuk |
