Is anyone else getting hit with constant adds on here on their mobile device? - sbroads24
It's been out of control for about a week now. Worst I've ever seen on this site. |

Penguins were aiming to interview 10-12 GM candidates as part of 1st wave via Zoom.
Marc Bergevin, Eric Tulsky, Jason Karmanos and Peter Chiarelli confirmed as being among those 10-12 candidates who interviewed. Now comes 2nd phase for some of them. |

Better move Adams to CEO and Ventura to GM |

7 guys played that many last year. It would be foolish to plan on more than 50. That's solid 1A territory. - Lunaion
What % of the starts did levi get once he arrived in buffalo?
I'd expect a similar output next season.
Kids a phenom IMO. |

Look it up if you want.
If you don't trust the backup, aren't you putting the team and the kid in a terrible situation? If you plan on splitting, you can always give him more.

Funny that they interview half the league and the Sabres don't believe in interviewing at all.

I think the Sabres trust upl to play 20 games next season.
I'm not sure if I trust upl as an nhl goalie, so agree with a backup vet upgrade.
Looks like he played roughly 8 of 10 games last season
80 % imagine that... |

We couldn't possibly bring in rookies to play on the 4th line, but turning over 60+ games to a rookie Goalie should be the plan?
That air must contain serious levels of THC up there since they legalized it, lol. |

You have to trust him to play 40. Can't let 1 injury or a rookie not being ready to handle that volume kill your season.

8 games is the same as 65?
I am quite sure they are enamored with him, but it is unrealistic to expect that this early.
It is much different than college 1 -2 per week.
Bigger stage, bigger competition, bigger learning curve to implement improvement techniques learned in practice.
I love the kid and want him to not only succeed, but excel at it. That is throwing way too much on him. |

Strange times here, one minute it's Hellebuyck, who pretty much leads the league in starts every year. Next, it's ask Levi to do that.

Very good post and I agree.
Sabres have very high Hope's for levi.
I'd be shocked if the Sabres added a "1A". Absolutely flabbergasted.
Its Levi's team and he's getting the starts.
Apparently they like upl considerably as well. He could earn some extra / steal some from.levi if he gets hot.
*unlikely |

No Botterill? Color me surprised - Hank Balling
Fear not.
"The Pittsburgh Penguins are stuck in limbo when it comes to their new general manager search. With a move unlikely to happen until after the Stanley Cup Playoffs end, it leaves much more time for speculation and case-making.
One possible reason Fenway Sports Group is continuing to hold off is because their ideal candidate's team is still in the playoffs. With a plethora of qualified executives, there is one specific person who may have the inside track on the vacant position: Jason Botterill." |

One year ryan nugent Hopkins was the #1 center, then they drafted connor McDavid.
You believe the smoke on hellebuyck? To the Sabres |

Same team that missed the playoffs by 1 point with 3 subpar nhl goalies.
Let's wager |

I think the kids a phenom as well, but it would be bad GM’ing to roll into next year with UPL backing up Levi. Especially given where this team is right now. That is asking for trouble. I don’t think KA can afford to make a potential mistake of that magnitude.

I'm no Botterill fan but I would avoid that job if I were him. Pittsburgh has aging stars and either Botterill has to be the bad guy who tears things down, or he'll be tasked with conducting a mediocre patch job to make the team a 7/8 seed while further sacrificing the future.
Either way, not an enviable position. |

In the mildest sense. I imagine they spoke and KA is just bargain hunting.

Ya, that's a tough one. Next opportunity is likely his last and that might be an impossible job.

👍
Seems like a very unlikely scenario.
$ contact Cost, blocking nhl growth, draft pick/ players being moved.
Would signify a playoff or bust next season attitude though |

Good post.
My gut says very few moves this offseason and adding a top goalie isnt very sabrery.
I still think comrie plays in Rochester, just in case as well.
I get the idea management likes upl more then hockeybuzz. |
